Wasting precious time when undecided may undermine your self-confidence considerably. As you will know when your self-confidence deteriorates you dwell in uncertainty. This feeling of uncertainty tints your every move and lets off an air of ambivalence which is far from becoming.

Security is based on certainty. Uncertainty breeds insecurity which is also very destabilizing. In indecision, we have uncertainty.

How, it occurs through life that for some reason, we may become subject to indecision. Having failed in an area may trigger uncertainty as to your capacity to make the right decision. When illness strikes, a weakened State of Being will definitely have the same effect. It can even be physiologically induced by hormonal changes. Age may sometimes induce hesitation as well.

When you’ve noticed that you have become indecisive with decision making, it is time to act before it becomes chronic, saps away your self-confidence and attacks your credibility.

You may first notice when someone tells you something like . That stings, doesn’t it? But the wake-up call strikes when you hesitate in front of a really easy choice!

If this is now happening, well, an alternative is to become .

First, set up your own protocol prior to decision making and follow-it. At first, it will seem to slow you down a little but after a little practice, it will be a powerful resource.

You may start with the basics like looking at the advantages and disadvantages rather than the preferences. Once you have facts lined up, see which would logically be your choice, really basing yourself only on facts. You can look at your somatic markers to determine if this process is suitable for you. Your gut will speak loud and clear!

Then, read your advantages and disadvantages rational list again.

If you are uncomfortable with your logical decision, your intuition will kick in and produce an unpleasant gut feeling. Some will feel a belly squeeze; others have their mouth go dry and throat constrict; others still may even have a suffocating sensation or feel queasiness when looking at an inapt choice.

When that happens, it is important to reassess your options, adding what specifically brought on the sensation. This clarification will bring you to a choice that you can justify to yourself and others.

As you become familiar with this process, it will accelerate your decision making considerably and will heighten your self-confidence. It’s also a good idea to sleep on it before committing to your choice.

You will no longer feel wishy-washy. In the end, your intentionality will benefit you. You will be known to make sound decisions based on fact and reflection. Being able to position yourself is an asset in all domains, especially when it is associated with a clear vision of pros and cons.
