" If we understood the power of our thoughts, we would guard them more closely. If we understood the awesome power of our words, we would prefer silence to almost anything negative. In our thoughts and words we create our own weaknesses and our own strengths. Our limitations and joys begin in our hearts. We can always replace negative with positive."
- Betty Eadie, prominent American author of several books on near-death experiences.
It is so very true, I totally agree with Betty. There is power in the words we speak. Proverbs 18:21 tells us: "The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit." We need to be very careful with our words. We think with words and we talk to ourselves all the time. We have to monitor our inner dialogues. We tend to focus on what's missing in our lives, on negative circumstances, opinions of others, our pasts... We need to change our thoughts and our inner talking from the negative into positive and start saying to ourselves: I attract to my life what I want: Love, happiness, success, abundance, prosperity, success, inner peace, patience, kindness and harmony.
We need to guard our thoughts and stop thinking about what we dislike. We need to reject any thoughts we may have that support self defeat and sabotage. For example, thoughts that tell us we can not do it, we don't have what it takes, we are not worthy. We need to remain faithful to ourselves and know deep withing us that God is with us all the time, He is at our side, He is for us and not against us, He is our strength. When we are with God, we are with the most powerful force in the universe, and nothing can stand in our way. When we are facing any tough situation in our lives we can remember that when the weather is nasty and it is raining and thundering, and it seems everything is dark and hopeless , above the dark clouds, above the darkness we see all around, there is always the sun shining beautifully beyond the clouds.
We need to be aware all the time that the words we are using can strengthen or weaken us. We need to be our best friend and encourage ourselves all the time. We need to know deep withing ourselves that God is the One who handles all of our problems. He does not need our help, He is a God of miracles. He does miracles for us every day!
The obstacles we face in our lives are actually there to polish us, to make us strong and to makes us shine. In difficult situations we can stay calm, and detach ourselves from the circumstances and see ourselves as an observer and not as a victim ... We can turn everything over to God and know that we will receive the guidance and assistance we need. We will see our dreams come true and will see the ripple effect and how contagious our success can be!
