OVERVIEW OF PALMISTRY LINES
An Explanation of palm lines my way
Myrna Lou Goldbaum

There are five basic areas discussed in every palm reading session I conduct. I interpret the lines on the hand using the modality of Oriental/Asian Palmistry. It does not coincide with the ancient or modern systems and methods many palmists use today. Oriental Palmistry was first used in the year 3000 BC and is an authentic method used to study the lines in a hand. Hindu Indian Palmistry dates to 2000 BC and it is the most commonly used method of hand analysis. Both methods “get” the same answers, just looked at differently by the Palm Reader. Verbiage is called out in using different words for the lines but the representations are the same. For instance in Hindu Indian Palmistry the reader discusses the Heart line, Head line and Fate line while Oriental Palmistry does not use these terms.

In Oriental Palmistry the five main lines found on every palm are:
Life line, Love line, Work line, Reproduction and Bracelets.

The Life line depicts the birth, health and longevity of an individual. Illnesses, trips to the hospital, and life-threatening disease or accidents are found on the Life line. This line is on the palm and runs parallel to the fingers. A fork at the end of the Life line shows creative thinking processes and the person’s IQ. If this line were to be measured, each finger is counted as twenty years while the space between is counted as ten years in calculating the person’s time on earth this time around.
The Love line begins with puberty. Whether an early or a late bloomer, the Love line reveals the entire and true story of what happened and what is happening in the person’s heart at this time in their life. A past romantic history, highlights, engagements, lost loves, triumphs, and even celebrations are found on the Love line. This line is on the palm running from the thumb side of the hand toward the center of the hand. Wishbone-shaped marks equal connections in love. Each half of the wishbone line represents each partner in the union.
The Work line shows a person’s abilities, talents and the amount of energy and effort given to the workplace. It shows the work both past and future in one’s life. Raises, terminations, businesses lost or new jobs begun are easily discovered by searching the Work line.

Palmistry offers excellent ways to solve the dilemma and find out what one is best suited to in a profession. Usually one gravitates to the type of work they feel the happiest in or to a job that they think they would enjoy. The Work lines are on the area just under the thumb on the palm.

\ Reproduction marks are located on the baby finger, nestled at the joint, and represent the possibilities, (the number of children) one can produce. Male lines are vertical, female lines are horizontal. The male determines what the female egg will eventually become so a woman only has the possibilities of what can be reproduced, not the outcome. EXAMPLE: A man may have six markings on his baby finger while his mate has only two. Their fate: to reproduce two times; the female provides the eggs while the male determines the sex of the baby.

The Bracelets are found on every human being. The first row on the wrist next to the palm is representative of the first twenty-five years in a lifetime. The second row, next twenty-five years, etc. The Bracelets are composed of shapes like the letter “c”, elongated. When a person must find a solution to a problem, or make a decision, the “c” closes and becomes an “o”. The average person has four knotty problems to settle from the age of sixteen to twenty-five. Many more show up after this age.

MISCELLEANOUS SYMBOLS

Numerous miscellaneous lines can be found on the palm:

“X” symbol = good luck anywhere on the palm except on the Life line. X’s found on this line are personal guardian angels; people who have died but chose not to go toward the light and instead stay on this plane until it is your time to leave. They guide, guard and protect. Average is one or two angels. Some have 14. It depends on how many people come to that person in death who felt close to them.

The Soul Mate symbol is located by the wrist, and is usually a pyramid or a pillow-shaped area. It shows the possibility of re-uniting with someone from another time zone on this planet in reincarnation. This is a person who bonds with you and connects in many ways such as mentally, emotionally, religion, spiritual, sexual and physical attraction. Everyone does not have this symbol on their palm. It only takes one in a couple to have it to make the connection work.

Mystic Cross = 3 distinct meanings. It is the letter “M” formed in the center of the palm. It stands for survival, a huge amount of money coming in for that person and no one would ever be able to trick the person because their eyes are wide open to deception.

Giving Lines = those gifts God gives to those who are givers. Users have none on their palm. Example: a person’s looks, abilities, family relationships, work opportunities and friendships formed.

Island = a time in one’s life when they feel cornered, trapped in a hopeless situation. Everyone has them on various sections of the palm in different times of their lives.

Dot (inside the Island) = a person who did not resolve their problem in life (island) and are stuck in that situation.

Medical Stigmata = interests and hobbies one chooses. These are scratch marks found on the palm under the baby finger. Example: anything metaphysical, medical or having to do with gardening catches their eye and they are in awe of the subject matter and want to know more.

ESP= instinct, knowing, feeling something. This symbol is on the palm under the index finger. Average is 1 or 2 lines on this area. Some have 3,4 or 5. Jeannie Dixon told President Kennedy NOT to go to Texas because she had a vision. She had 5 as did Edgar Casey, known as the Sleeping Prophet.

Teacher’s Block = one who can get their point across, not just in a classroom setting. A teacher of life, philosophy, ice skating. This symbol can be anywhere on the palm and is shaped either like a brick or a cement block. Mike Rosen, KOA Radio, Denver commentator has 4.

Stripes = boo boos one has made in this lifetime that they had to fix. These lines are found on the phalanges of one’s fingers. (Not in the fingertip area.) Some have few, some many mistakes they had to correct.

Grilles = tick tat toe markings can be found on the palm anywhere. These symbols represent a dishonest person, one with no scruples, no conscious. Liars, cheats, sneaks have this symbol.

Old Soul = a person who has reincarnated. These are lines between where the fingers are connected to the palm and just before the Life line. This area can show no markings (a new soul) or many lines. Average is 4 to 7 lifetimes on a palm. Each mark is counted as 100 years even though in many centuries people only lived to 35 or 50.

Poison Line = allergies. There are 2 kinds, acquired (onset after the age of 50) and allergies a person is born with. These symbols are found on the side of the palm from the baby finger down to the wrist. Average is 1 or 2 allergies. Some people have many, a few have none.

Simian Line = a person whose Life line and Love line are connected and impossible to read. There are 3 distinctions. Mental person (Mongolism), overly religious zealot and the person finds the love of their life and their life is their love.
