Iceberg¡¦

Lumbering, solitary, majestic¡¦ She stands tall and impervious. The mistress of her wintry domain; Queen of Arctic Seas.

But the slightest hint of her stupendous size emerges from dark and turbulent seas.

Listen to swirling wind and surf. Onward she slices, cutting cruelly against prevailing winds and following seas. Oh to what madness does she hearken to; Oh, what mystery propels her against the gale!

For she follows a different course; she follows her own way. She laughs haughtily at natures attempt to sway her mighty purpose!

Massive, an icy blue obelisk set against a starlit moonless night. starkly beautiful, resolute and determined. Her path, yes even her destination unfathomed by all; undaunted by that which is seen.

Perhaps a metaphor¡¦ A description of life? observe!

¡°I am that I am¡± said God¡¦ And in his flawless image comes humanity¡¦

Mind¡¦ That which emerges from the firmament below. But a hint of our all-powerful spirit! But the slightest fleeting whisper of the wellspring of power and strength that lurks below. The observer of our earthly world; indeed, a participant of what is readily seen on the surface.

Soul¡¦ Omnipotent; forever; colossal, it steers us, not by wind and surf; indeed, not by transient thoughts or whims of mind, but by God's enduring and love-filled designs for our ultimate happiness.

Ice¡¦ Cold¡¦ Frozen to this but temporal existence; in this time and place, we harken to God's calling; it drives us slowly and steadily to our perfection; to our destiny.

The world above, with howling winds and surf, neither change our course nor hasten our journey. It is merely the scenery on the way.

I bid thee fair winds.
