What does it really mean to be out of your mind? No, it doesn't mean you are nuts, bonkers, or crazy as a peach orchard boar.

The more you are in tune with what is really happening in your experience - instead of what you often misguidedly perceive is going on - the more your ability to fully understand your self rooted in truth develops. "I'm just being myself" takes on a different meaning. As if you bought a new pair of titanium eyeglasses you are now able to see through the smudged filter of who you think you are. You are able to let go of all the ways you stop yourself from being and expressing who you really are.

This newfound awareness originates intuitive wisdom, guidance and inspiration that comes directly from your True Essence, not your mind. You are not your mind. You've experienced these heart driven moments of crystal clear clarity in those epiphanies, out-of-the-blue meaningful coincidences, and long sought for answers that come to you in the wee hours of the morning.

As you transition from being mind driven to true self driven you will spend more of your time playing with and enjoying life rather than stressing out over life and your circumstance.

For example, if you get into a cat fight with your husband, lover, sister, brother, BFF, associate or employee and soon discover yourself on a shopping binge whipping out the credit card faster than Wild Bill Hickok on his best day you are seriously into your head and out of your heart. To numb your mind-driven emotional pain you seek comfort in a trip to Neiman Marcus, the cosmetic surgeon, or a bitch fest with gal pals and the nearest watering hole.

Hey, I'm all for a great Cosmo or two. I choose to sip it with silly positive conversation and laughter rather than to drown out - or even encourage - emotional madness. The addiction is not the cocktail, newly purchased Franck Muller watch or nip/tuck. It is in the energy - the reasoning - behind the impulsive purchase that can be toxic to the soul.

The mind, however, has value. Having purpose is not the same thing as being the director of a meaningful life. From an authentic heart-centered place direct your mind to recognize what is happening in your experience. Identify truth from what you assume, what you project and what you conjure up a meaning for.

Get to the truth of how and what you really feel at your deepest core. Is it based in reality or a bunch of stuff your mind made up to keep you mired in muck, divert you from the real truth, or throw you off the course you were born to travel.

Implied in being fully and truthfully aware is being present. Are you focused upon what is happening in this moment or are you jumping off the deep end into the pool of however you have interpreted your past? Yes, most of what you think happened in your past is based on the interpretations of a young naive child who took things very personal, didn't understand context and who thought parents were right about everything they said or did.

If your mind is wandering around in the past, adding a bunch of crap to your experience or in a dark place - get out! Reach for a new perspective that comes from your heart, filled with innate wisdom, love and inspiration.

In this new state of clarity, the next time someone thinks what you say or do is crazy just smile and congratulate yourself on your transition.
