Through the spiritual science of Akram Vignan, it is very much possible that one can succeed in the corporate field and be spiritual at the same time.

First, one’s false belief of ‘I am this body and name’ breaks as one acquires the real knowledge of ‘who am I’. This happens because of the demarcation line that the Enlightened One (Gnani Purush) puts between the real Self (the pure Soul) and the relative self (the body, the name, and everything else that we consider as ‘I’ or ‘mine’) during the two-hours Self-realisation ceremony called Gnan Vidhi. This marks the starting point of spirituality.

Thereafter, one can carry out their worldly life and spiritual life simultaneously as they are on two different tracks; one is carried out through the worldly self and the other happens through the real Self; both fulfill their respective roles.

Let us look at how spirituality helps us, both in the corporate field as well as in being spiritual at the same time.

1) Right Understanding: On the spiritual path, we gain the right understanding that enables us to deal with the stress while meeting deadlines, eliminates the worries and tensions that are otherwise an integral part of a successful corporate life, and doesn’t allow problems, no matter how big and crucial they may be, to lead into unhealthy competition, unnecessary suspicion, damaged relationships or for that matter depression or mental health hazards.

Without this right understanding, one may find oneself entwined with an array of negative emotions that not only hurt but hinder one's growth.

2) Negative Emotions: Spirituality eventually frees us from all kinds of negative emotions such as anger, pride, greed, deceit, attachment, and abhorrence. These emotions often lead to comparison, suspicion, jealousy, dishonesty, lying, cheating, clashes, and conflicts, due to which we end up hurting others. They are also some of the primary reasons for unhappiness and inner turmoil preventing our progress in both our working and spiritual lives.

Taking into account the Feelings of others: But for spirituality, we rely solely on our intellect, which could lead us to separate from others, which in turn disrupts our inner peace. Whereas incorporating spirituality into our lives allows us to approach life's challenges with empathy and practicality, by considering others' feelings.

3) Oneness with the entire world: While the perspective of the relative self makes one selfish, due to which one keeps seeing the faults of others and thereby creates a divide among people, Spirituality is the only thing that unites us with the entire world.

Living in the present moment is a fundamental principle of spirituality. When we allow our minds to wander in the past or future, we miss out on enjoying and experiencing the present moment. By staying in the present, we can lead a life free from regret and missed opportunities. It's about accepting what life has to offer and appreciating it fully, without anxiously waiting for the future. This mindset leads us to a more mature and responsible outlook and behavior of, which automatically grooms us into a successful corporate figure, void of negative emotions such as greed, envy, fear and jealousy.

4) The ability to adapt: The power of spirituality lies in its ability to help us adapt to any situation and interact with even the most challenging people without causing hurt. By adjusting to the needs of others, we can achieve inner peace and resolve conflicts more efficiently.

5) Inner Peace: Spirituality provides us with constant inner peace. This inner peace stems from our pure Soul, which before Self-Realization, we didn’t know.

Several more benefits of spirituality help us easily succeed in the corporate world and be spiritual at the same time. By embracing spirituality, we can perceive the world from a perspective of the Self rather than just limit it to our relative self. This allows us to consider the emotions of other living beings and hence avoid causing hurt, even if it means sacrificing our success. When we prioritize the well-being of others, Nature has a way of fulfilling our own needs and desires effortlessly.

Therefore, spirituality is not only essential for spiritual development, but it also plays a significant role in our progress in these.

Author's Bio:

Ambalal M. Patel was a civil contractor by profession. In June 1958, spontaneous Self-Realization occurred within Ambalal M. Patel. From this point on, Ambalal became a Gnani Purush, and the Lord that manifested within him became known as Dada Bhagwan. A Gnani Purush is One who has realized the Self and is able to help others do the same. Param Pujya Dada Bhagwan used to go from town to town and country-to-country to give satsang (spiritual discourse) and impart the knowledge of the Self, as well as knowledge of harmonious worldly interactions to everyone who came to meet him. This spiritual science, known as Akram Vignan, is the step-less path to Self-realization.
