Dealing with anxiety is something that all of us have to go through at one time or another. Whether it be on your wedding day or the first day of school when you were a kid, you have been nervous and anxious at some point.
Worrying about something that other people worry about is one thing, because we all do it. But when that normal amount of worry turns into something more excessive to the point where you are in a constant state of worry, that is more like anxiety.
But there is a good thing to having some general anxiety in life. If you were driving down the freeway and saw an accident happen, you would use the anxiety that you feel to make a split-second decision. Being anxious in this manner would actually help you because the anxiety would make you aware of the danger approaching so that you could successfully avoid it.
It would be a healthy type of anxiety and emotion for you based on that experience. The problem lies when those emotions and feelings turn into a constant thing. If you start feeling like coping is getting more difficult, and ultimately becoming impossible is when anxiety gets out of hand.
If you start noticing that you are feeling different, pay attention to the physical and emotional symptoms that are going on within you. For many people who have an anxiety disorder, shakiness or dizziness is many times associated with anxiety, in addition to other symptoms.
You also may feel your heart start to race very fast. This is the most common for anxiety sufferers, and can be very scary. Your heart pounds out of your chest, and you feel like you are going to faint or pass out because of the dizziness.
This feeling can last for a while, or it may go away in a very short time. It should also be noted that you can have these feelings and symptoms happen to you randomly throughout your week. While some people get triggered by certain events, many people feel anxiety come on for no reason at all.
One thing is for sure though. Living with all of the symptoms and emotional side-effects of anxiety can be taxing for anyone who suffers from a panic disorder. The good news is though, that you can live a life free from anxiety if you just find the right methods to deal with the disorder.
