Creating Successful Habits

Everything we do, have, or achieve is a result of our habits. Habits can be constructive or destructive based upon where they lead a person.

If you want to create a better version of yourself; increase your success in any area of life; and increase your “livingness;” you’ll need to examine your current habits.

Make sure the habits you possess will create the desires you want in life.

I know a lady who wanted improvement in a number of areas of her life. She wanted a bigger house, more money, her own business, and someone to love.

When we examined her habits this is what she discovered:

1. Her current small, rented house was disorganized and becoming run down.
2. She spent whatever money she made and was always feeling financially crunched.
3. She had a decent job, but only worked hard enough to keep the bosses off her back—never anything extra.
4. She really didn’t think very highly of herself.

When she recognized the above mentioned “habits” that were holding her back, she decided to try something different. She changed here habits into the following:

1. She cleaned every nook, cranny, and drawer in her house. She repaired anything she could do or afford. As soon as she was finished with the last repair, a friend of hers had to move quickly, and sold her a larger home with no down payment. Incidentally, the payment for the larger house was less than her previous rental payment was for the smaller house.
2. She created a budget and started a part-time home business (Personal Life Coaching). The extra income was used to create a Money Building Fund (MBF). Within 19 months, she was totally debt free and had accumulated an additional $19,000 in her MBF.
3. She began the habit of treating her job as her own business, instead of just being an employee. This resulted in a promotion and raise.
4. She began making a list at the end of each day before going to bed of all the good things she liked about herself. In turn, she started to recognize and love herself more. Guess what happened? You got it, she found the perfect mate of course, or I wouldn’t be sharing this part of the story with you.

If you want more out of life, align your habits with your desires. Begin shifting from the habits that are holding you back.

Notice the habits of successful people who possess what you want. Duplicate their successful habits. Some of these successful habits are as follows:

Habit of Do It Now
Habit of Completing tasks at hand
Habit of Courage
Habit of Thinking Positively
Habit of Budgeting your money and time
Habit of Balancing your life

These habits will help create a better version of yourself and upgrade your life to the next level. Remember, the more you do anything, the more it becomes a habit. Your mission is to make sure you are creating the habits that will produce your desired results.

Until next time, I will remain
