My name is Nancy Barry-Jansson. I am an AffirmingSpirit Teacher|Mentor, faculty member at Good Vibe University, as well as an illustrator, based in the San Francisco South Bay Area otherwise known as Silicon Valley.

Since the mid-1980s I have been using my own affirmations to create amazing and powerful change in my life. Affirmations had successfully helped me through the complicated birth of my son, starting my presentations business, getting into great shape, buying my first home in the SF Bay Area, raising my son, and growing my business, among other things.

By 2000, I was ready to share what I had learned with others so I developed AffirmingSpirit Blank Affirmation Cards: Beautiful, double-sided cards on which people could write their own personalized affirmations or motivational quotes. These cards are so beautiful, people keep them out—and on their mind—all the time. Through teaching workshops and individuals, I discovered that many people don't even realize how powerful affirmations are, and if they do, they don't know how to properly create them and work with them to experience results.

What is Affirmingspirit Teaching and Mentoring?
In 2008, I began coaching people on creating their own affirmations and creating well-being in their life. No subject was off-limits. For those who needed business coaching, I provided that based on running a successful business the previous 14 years. For those who needed life coaching to deal with home and family issues, I provided support and perspectives from my experience as a wife and mother. For those who needed to address health issues or spiritual issues, we addressed those. Beyond coaching, I teach and mentor my clients so they can move forward on their own following their own intuition and guidance.

Since my approach is focused on the client's needs, not on a specific area, it is best described as AffirmingSpirit Teaching|Mentoring. It is my intention that each client is able to identify and work through their limiting beliefs to find and maintain their own definition of well-being.

The results of mentoring have been phenomenal—far beyond my own expectations. As I listen intently to each client, I receive intuitive guidance on what would works best for them. Then, I incorporate that guidance with specific affirmations designed to light a spark in the client. No matter what you want to create in your life, affirmations are a great tool and one of the fastest, easiest ways to align yourself with your dreams!

Every day, I live what I teach and grow in that process. Often, I am able to share my own stories to guide my clients. This not only illustrates how these techniques work, it helps my clients feel they are not alone. There are many effective techniques that work for different people, so I am not limited to teaching or mentoring only about affirmations. Many of my clients have learned affirmations in conjunction with learning to use their own intuition, Law of Attraction, Ho'oponopono, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique aka Tapping), and more etc.

The result is that those I teach and mentor are making incredible leaps in personal growth, as they are guided to follow their own path, connecting to who they really are, and being the best they can possibly be!
