I have been working on my own spiritual path for fifty years. I hold an AAS and am working on my next degree in Comparative Religion. I also have education in Anthropology, Cultural Geography, Psychology, Sociology, and more. I am well read in many areas of self-help with a focus on spirituality. I believe that we each have a spiritual journey that is personal to us and love to help others along thier path. I hold no expectations for you, no trying to tell you that this is the correct path. I will help you find what fits for you and what you feel fits with your values. I can do this is you are a traditional Christian, or someone exploring Buddhism, Wicca, Hinduism other a mix of many religions. I love to help others explore not only their belief system but ways to make spirituality real in their lives such as pryaer, meditation, yoga, community, volunteer work, meaningful careers , ritual, music, and much more.
I am willing also to share my own journey as people ask, or I think it might be helpful. Although I believe that we walk our own path, I also believe that we often share many of he same type of walls, shoulds, and other stumbling blocks to get free to practice spirituality. I also understand spiritual abuse and if this is your history, we can work on this too.
I am a former Chemical Dependency counselor who while working held a CADC certification. Unhappy with traditional treatment modalities, I have expanded my approach to recovery with spirituality, revised twelve steps, underlying issues and self-empowerment. I have worked with individuals and groups in the following settings and areas: inpatient, incarcerated individuals, rural areas, relapse prevention, education, youth, and dual diagnosis. I am the author of the curriculum used by a local treatment center for incarcerated women. I have specialized experience working for the local health department with those who addictions have put them at risk for, or who have acquired HIV.
