I received the name "Snake Dancer" from Spirit in a profound Vision Quest experience. Snake is a powerful healing metaphor in both Native American and western medicine traditions. I am of Muscogee Creek and Choctaw heritage and I am a member of the Buffalo Trace Society.
I am a traditionally trained Shamanic Sound Healer and Master Drum and Rattle Maker and I have extensively studied earth honoring traditions. My practice includes Native American Spirituality, Sacred Sound Healing, and all aspects of Shamanic Healing. I also facilitate several monthly Sacred Circles which honor the use of the drum, sound and dance for connection and healing. I offer retreats and workshops nationally with a heartfelt focus on creating Native American Frame Drums in a sacred way; passing along ancient healing rhythms; and the secrets of creating sacred circles in your area.
Each year I also assist Grandmother Pathweaver, a Cherokee elder, with powerful Vision Quest experiences which provide an opportunity for the natural world to guide you in your personal transformation. I facilitate local and national Drum Birthing Retreats, Rattle Birthing Workshops, and numerous workshops and spiritual circles. I have a private practice in the rolling hills of Landenberg, Pennsylvania and I am available for speaking or experiential engagements at Conferences and Independent Schools.

Create a Native American Frame Drum in a Sacred Way

A drum is a powerful tool, which can be used for honoring Spirit, healing, clearing and generating energy. Do you yearn to be part of a sacred circle of people who bring their hearts together in an ancient way to create, play, eat, dance, laugh, share and support each other? During this weekend retreat, we will use the shamanic process of journeying to invite Spirit, your Ancestors and guides to assist you in developing a deep relationship with the drum you are birthing. You will journey to the heart of your new being and ask how it wishes to manifest its journey on this Earth walk. Is it a personal medicine drum, a community drum, a healing drum? It is possible in the process of birthing your drum to experience a deep, personal, transformation, and an initiatory type of integration of your personal power. I will lovingly guide you through all the simple, technical aspects of making your drum.
Energy Exchange: $400.00 which includes lodging, all materials to make a 16" round, Sacred Medicine Wheel Drum with an elk skin head, maple frame, and a beater. There will be a lovely person in the kitchen to prepare our food and clean up, which provides space for you to be fully present to the process of birthing your drum. Often people share that allowing them selves to be served is part of the healing of the heart which is available during this weekend.
Place: The retreat will be held at Snake Dancer’s home in historic Landenberg PA, which overlooks panoramic views of the White Clay Creek Preserve.
