I am an online life coach therapist, author, spiritual teacher, and personal development expert. I have studied the fields of counseling, psychology, education, and spirituality. I have training in cognitive behavioral therapy, life coaching, anxiety and depression self help, spiritual counseling and family and alternative marriage counseling. I have done extensive work in the areas of special needs and parenting, and parenting a child with autism has provided me with more knowledge than any class possibly could! Additionally, my 13-year marriage to my "high school sweetheart" has allowed me to develop my ability to understand relationship issues and to provide alternative marriage counseling.
I have had an interest in spiritual counseling and spiritual growth my entire life, and it has led me to explore Christianity, Buddhism, and Taoism. My most profound experience of emotional healing came from working with my mentor, counselor and life coach Ewa Schwarz of Online Counseling, for nearly two years. During that time I redefined reality as I understood it and experienced a spiritual awakening. Ewa continues to be my mentor, and I am trained in her methods. I also draw upon my reading of Eckhart Tolle, Thich Nhat Hanh, Tara Brach, Rachel Naomi Remen, A Course in Miracles, and Adyashanti in my work.
Through my own journey, I developed many healthy habits and grew to see reality with more clarity as I explored various avenues of anxiety and depression self help. As a result of my experiences, I have gained an ability to understand our, common experience--our common humanity and our common journey. We may feel like we are alone in what we are facing, but the reality is that we never are. Only through changing our limiting beliefs can we truly be free. I draw on this understanding when I provide online therapy and coaching services.
My studies include a B.A. in emotional and behavioral disorders from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan, as well as a M.A. from the same institution and strong background in abnormal, lifespan, and educational psychology, and training in cognitive behavioral therapy and counseling from the Beck Institute.

"Healing may not be so much about getting better, as about letting go of everything that isn’t you - all of the expectations, all of the beliefs - and becoming who you are.”
― Rachel Naomi Remen
“I promise you nothing is as chaotic as it seems. Nothing is worth diminishing your health. Nothing is worth poisoning yourself into stress, anxiety, and fear.”
― Steve Maraboli, Unapologetically You: Reflections on Life and the Human Experience
“Why do you want to shut out of your life any uneasiness, any misery, any depression, since after all you don't know what work these conditions are doing inside you? Why do you want to persecute yourself with the question of where all this is coming from and where it is going? Since you know, after all, that you are in the midst of transitions and you wished for nothing so much as to change. If there is anything unhealthy in your reactions, just bear in mind that sickness is the means by which an organism frees itself from what is alien; so one must simply help it to be sick, to have its whole sickness and to break out with it, since that is the way it gets better.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Letters to a Young Poet
