We all have some idea of what traditional meditation is. Find a quiet place, sit in a lotus position, focus on a single word or Mantra or focus on your breathing and quiet your mind by stopping your thoughts. Now, do this for 30 minutes to an hour once or twice a day. It can be a powerful technique if you have the time, the patience and the persistence to get good at it.
But, here’s the challenge. Most of us don’t have the time, the patience or the persistence. For me personally, stopping my other thoughts was always the big challenge. So, what do we do? There’s another meditative technique that is very useful to get us into a state of relaxation, expanded awareness, inner peace, and what some call mystical states and insights that can take you just a few minutes to experience. A friend of mine, Steve Sashen, shared it with me, and I want to share it with you.
In this video, we'll guide you through that method.
Try it out and let us know how this works for you in the comments below. We’ve also found that to get into a meditative relaxed state, it helps to have some guidance. This could be a teacher, an audio program, or any kind of support.
