Laziness is a disease that eats up our lives. Laziness has two reasons. By understanding them, you can effectively resist laziness.

THE FIRST REASON

In the vast majority of cases, the reason for laziness is a lack of vital energy. Laziness is the body's natural response to this deficiency. When resources are scarce, production will reduce its capacity. When there is not enough vital energy, the body lays down and does not want to do anything.

In our time, chronic fatigue syndrome is very common. It is a consequence of an unnatural lifestyle: night vigils, fast-carbohydrate food, physical inactivity and hypoxia. In such conditions, the body simply has nowhere to take energy, and it begins to slowly wither away.

To understand how your laziness is based on this reason, take a simple test, answering "yes" and "no" to the following statements (for each "yes" get 1 point):

1. I sleep less than 7.5 hours a night.
2. I do not have a strict meal schedule, I eat whenever I want.
3. I am physically active less than 4 times a week.
4. During the day I often experience bouts of sleepiness.
5. I love sweets, baked goods and eat it regularly.
6. I often wake up at night and then cannot sleep.
7. I have trouble falling asleep.
8. It often happens that I do not have time to eat properly during the day.
9. I am overweight.

0-1 point - if you sometimes feel lazy, it is clearly not for reasons of a biological nature. Your laziness will be based on reason # 2.

2 points - your lifestyle needs correction. The contribution of the first reason to the experienced attack of laziness takes place. Make constructive changes to your daily routine and thereby knock the soil out from under your lazy feet.

3 points or more - your laziness is clearly based on a biological cause (lack of energy). To cope with it, you will have to reconsider your attitude towards a healthy lifestyle.

However, even if you saw weaknesses in your daily routine and made sure that the lack of vital energy is about you, this does not mean that the second reason for laziness has passed you by. It is possible that you are dealing with two opponents at once.

THE SECOND REASON

The second reason is psychological. Its essence is lack of proper motivation.

Let's remember that laziness is a natural reaction of the body to environmental conditions in which the body conserves energy. These conditions include your disorganized lifestyle, from which your body begins to be energetically hungry, and it decides to go into hibernation until better times. Or perhaps there is a lack of motivating goals.

Imagine a lion. He, a scoundrel, sleeps 20 hours a day. This is laziness. But he needs her to survive. If he ran and fussed a lot, he would be thin, weak and unproductive. And so - he wakes up the desire to run only when he sees a fat gazelle or a graceful lioness. A motive appears, and an action appears.

It's the same with us. If your life is a boring routine, then it's time to remember that your family comes from some glorious pirate who drowned more than one frigate. And after that, get the rusty musket out of the chest and challenge fate.

The psychological cause of laziness is based on boring work. And there can be only one antidote: either quit, or seek changes that promise you some kind of prospects.

TROUBLE DOES NOT COME ALONE

From the experience of communicating with my students, I can say: in the overwhelming majority of cases, we deal with both reasons at once, which not only love each other very much, but also stimulate each other.

So boring work provokes an indifferent attitude towards his life, and as a result, a person loses interest in anything. Or, on the contrary, at first we, succumbing to some temptations, ruin our daily routine, and then, sleepy, disoriented and irritable, we carry all this baggage of negativity to our work, and then we don't want to do anything.

Laziness is just a reaction to the environment. We cannot change the environment (although sometimes we want to shoot everyone), it remains to change ourselves. And this is interesting, promising and noble.
