There IS light at the end of the tunnel!
Feel like you are suffocating in the darkness of your pain? Don’t think there’s any hope?
When you are in the midst of despair, I want you to know there IS light at the end of your tunnel. You may not think so right now, but it’s there. Many have found it. I found it. Actually, to be honest, God was the light at the end of my tunnel.
Through all of my dark, despairing days, when I didn’t think I could cry another tear, God helped me stay sane. There were times I thought I couldn’t take anymore and would just lose it. The stress factor was so high I don’t know how my body withstood it. Slowly…..ever so slowly………God would take each new circumstance and make it work out. I don’t know how he did it. He just did. At the beginning of each new crisis, my makeup is to panic and look at the worst scenario. Then when I see I’m not going to die, I start calming down. I’ve gotten pretty good at taking things calmly now. It was a long time coming.
Eventually, I had to get on medication because I started having anxiety attacks. I hope this doesn’t happen to you, but I had never experienced anything like this before. My doctor told me that when anxiety gets triggered, usually by a traumatic event, it is your body’s way of releasing all that stress that it can’t handle anymore. Made sense. I am a lot better now though it can still get triggered. All of this effects our bodies horrifically. Take care of yourself. (Sorry, I digressed a bit).
If you will go to God each time you are overwhelmed by your pain, He will comfort and help you. He understands better than anyone what you are feeling and going through. I couldn’t have made it through what I went through without Him. When we trust in Him, He honors that and works things out in a good way for you. I can’t tell you how many times He has turned things around that looked very scary.
Soon, you will start to see just a little twinkle of light at the end of your tunnel. It is so small you aren’t sure it is really there. Keep pushing forward through all the feelings and emotions and daily life until you can get a better glimpse of it. See it? See it? How exciting!
Be encouraged today that others have proved that there IS a light at the end of the tunnel. You just have to press on until you find it. God is that light. The more you seek Him, the easier it will be. When we are going through tough, painful, despairing times is when we need Him the most. He is there. You have to ask Him for his help though.
Remember this………….He is your Father. How do you feel towards your children when they are in pain? That is how he feels about you, but even more deeply. He WANTS to comfort you. He WANTS to be there for you. Just ask Him!
I am here for you. I found the end of my tunnel and you can too!
