It’s about altering your lifestyle to one that promotes the habits of living a healthier, lighter, happier you. It’s about taking each moment, literally, to take the steps and make the decisions that support your aspirations. It’s about you; yes you, holding yourself accountable for the way you are running your life and the goals that you are working toward achieving. There are no excuses, no regrets and lots of wonderful decisions and fine movements.

All too often we find ourselves falling prey to a quick fix; the draw of the false and usually expensive ways of pursuing our dreams and making all of our wishes comes true with the snap of our fingers. Can’t you hear them now “just buy our meals and you even get dessert” and then what do you do when you are no longer purchasing their products? “Visit us and workout on our equipment for only 10 minutes a day and you’ll have the life you adore.” Right and do they think we were born yesterday? For as long as we both shall live, the following tactics will bring us closer to our goals of living a healthier, calmer, lighter way of life. They do not cost an arm or a leg, but they do require that you consistently put forth your best effort each day you are lucky enough to be given the opportunity to make a difference in your life. 100% responsibility, zero excuses!

~Document your on-goings. Write it down. Journal. Be accountable. Put pen to paper
~Include movement in your life. Be active. Keep moving. Work out. Be in motion.
~Surround yourself with healthy food options that are prepped and ready for the taking.
~Support your own efforts. Praise yourself. Be proud of the woman you are creating.
~Downsize your obligations. Say “no” more often. Scale back your commitments.
~Be thoroughly aware on a constant basis of your portion size and serving amounts.
~Be forgiving of yourself. Pardon your mistakes and excuse your missteps.

You are fully aware that if you want to lose weight, gain control of your life and live a healthier existence, it begins on your doorstep – not your neighbor’s, not the corner pill store and certainly not the 2:00a.m. infomercial or the glamorous TV commercials advertising a celebrity who’s been airbrushed and spanked out.

You can do this! Be patient with your efforts, be consistent with your endeavor and have faith in all the power that exists inside your beautiful self and truly make a difference in your life. Take each moment of your life one by one to create a string of habits that add up to a life you adore.
