The Clever Visitors of Success, Wealth and Love
Author Unknown, Adopted by JR Coleman

A woman stepped out onto her porch one evening to see three elderly men sitting on her front lawn. Of course she became very concerned because she did not recognize them. She approached them and said, "I don't think I know you gentlemen, but if you are hungry please come in and have something to eat."

One of the elders stood up and asked, “Madame, is the man of the house in?"

"No, she replied, He's out, but he will be coming home very shortly."

"Then we cannot come in,” he respectfully replied.

In the evening when her husband did come home, she told him what had happened.

The husband then asks his wife, ”please go tell them I am home and invite them all to be our guests"

The woman went out and invited the men in…

"We do not go into the house all together," the elder replied.

"Why is that?" she asked.

The elder explained, “First I want to introduce you to Mr. Wealth, he said pointing to one of his friends, and then points to the other, “And he is Mr. Success and I am Mr. Love." Then he added, "Now would you be so kind as to go and discuss with your husband which One of Us you want in your home."

The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. "Great! he said, Since that is the case, let us invite Mr. Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with riches!"

His wife disagreed. "My dear, why don't we invite Mr. Success?"

Now in the background their daughter-in-law just happened to overhear their conversation from the other corner of the house. She jumped in and offered her own suggestion: "Would it not better to invite Mr. Love? Our home will then be filled with love!"

Pondering over which elder they should choose, the husband and wife finally relented to their daughter-in-law's advice. Then the husband asked of his wife, "Please go out and invite Mr. Love to be our guest."

The wife went out and asked Mr. Love to please come in…
As Mr. Love rose and started walking toward the house the other two elders also got up and followed him. Surprised and confused the wife stopped dead in her tracks and asked of Mr. Wealth and Mr. Success, “Why are you two coming in? I was only to invite one person and we chose Mr. Love.”

Then Mr. Love piped in to clarify the situation, “Madam, let me explain, if you had invited either Mr. Wealth alone or Mr. Success by himself in your home the other two of us would have stayed out. But since you invited Love in your home, surely all other attributes always do follow.
