Prophecy of the Divinity of Yeshua in the Tanakh:

“For a child is born to us, a son is given to us; dominion will rest on his shoulders, and he will be given the name Pele-Yo'etz El Gibbor Avi-'Ad Sar-Shalom [Wonder of a Counselor, Mighty God, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace]” Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 9:6 (CJB)

How can a child be called “Mighty G-d” and “Father of Eternity” unless that child is G-d in the flesh. Clearly, the Ruach HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), who spoke through the prophets in the Tanakh, was revealing to the prophet Yesha’yahu that the Mashiach (Messiah) will be divine and equal to G-d. Yeshua fulfilled this prophecy in the New Testament.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing made had being. In him was life, and the life was the light of mankind.” Yochanan (John) 1:1-4 (CJB)

“Therefore Adonai himself will give you people a sign: the young woman will become pregnant, bear a son and name him 'Immanu El [God is with us].” Yesha’yahu (Isaiah) 7:14 (CJB)

It is apparent from Yesha’yahu 7:14 that this young woman was highly favored by YHVH to bear a son called “Immanuel” “God is with us”. Clearly, this is the Son of YAH. The word of God made flesh. Yesua’yahu 7:14 testifies to the supernatural birth of Yeshua Ha’Mashiach.

"'In the sixth month, the angel Gavri'el was sent by God to a city in the Galilee called Natzareth, to a virgin engaged to a man named Yosef, of the house of David. The virgin's name was Miriam. Approaching her, the angel said, "Shalom, favored daughter of God! ADONAI is with you!" She was deeply troubled by his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, "Don't be afraid, Miriam, for you have found favor with God. Look! You will become pregnant, you will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Yeshua. He will be great, he will be called Son of Ha`Elyon. ADONAI, God, will give him the throne of his forefather David; and he will rule the House of Ya`akov (Jacob)forever. There will be no end to his Kingdom." "How can this be," asked Miriam of the angel, "since I am a virgin?" The angel answered her, "The Ruach HaKodesh will come over you, the power of Ha`Elyon will cover you. Therefore the holy child born to you will be called the Son of God.'" Luke 1:26-35 (CJB)

Prophecy of the Place of Birth of Yeshua in the Tanakh:

"But you, Beit-Lechem (Bethlehem) near Efrat, so small among the clans of Y'hudah, out of you will come forth to me the future ruler of Isra'el, whose origins are far in the past, back in ancient times." Mikhah (Micah) 5:2 (CJB)

"After Yeshua was born in Beit-Lechem (Bethlehem) in the land of Y'hudah (Judah) during the time when Herod was king, Magi from the east came to Yerushalayim and asked, "Where is the newborn King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east and have come to worship him." Mattiyahu (Matthew) 1:1-2 (CJB)

Prophecies of the Suffering and Death of Yeshua in the Tanakh:

"People despised and avoided him, a man of pains, well acquainted with illness. Like someone from whom people turn their faces, he was despised; we did not value him. In fact, it was our diseases he bore, our pains from which he suffered; yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God. But he was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins; the disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises we are healed." Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 53:3-5 (CJB)

"Though mistreated, he was submissive. He did not open his mouth. Like a lamb led to be slaughtered, like a sheep silent before its shearers, he did not open his mouth." Yesha'yahu (Isaiah) 53:7 (CJB)

"'After this ordeal, he will see satisfaction. "By his pain and sacrifice, my righteous servant makes many righteous. It is for their sins that he suffers. Therefore, I will assign him a share with the great, he will divide the spoil with the mighty, for having exposed himself to death and being counted among the sinners, while actually bearing the sin of many and interceding for the offenders.'" Fulfillment of Yeshua's Suffering and Death in the New Testament:

"The next day, Yochanan (John the Baptist) saw Yeshua coming toward him and said, "Look! God's lamb! The one who is taking away the sin of the world! (Yochanan) John 1:29 (CJB)

"'If I had not done in their presence works which no one else ever did, they would not be guilty of sin; but now, they have seen them and have hated both me and my Father. But this has happened in order to fulfill the words in their Torah which read, `They hated me for no reason at all.'" John 15:24-25 (CJB)

"But the festival of Matzah, known as Pesach, was approaching; and the head cohanim (priests) and the Torah-teachers began trying to find some way to get rid of Yeshua, because they were afraid of the people. He approached the head cohanim and the Temple guard and discussed with them how he might turn Yeshua over to them. They were pleased and offered to pay him money. "For I tell you this: the passage from the Tanakh that says, 'He was counted with transgressors', has to be fulfilled in me; since what is happening to me has a purpose." Luke 22:37 (CJB)

"'The governor's soldiers took Yeshua into the headquarters building, and the whole battalion gathered around him. They stripped off his clothes and put on him a scarlet robe, wove thorn-branches into a crown and put it on his head, and put a stick in his right hand. Then they kneeled down in front of him and made fun of him: "Hail to the King of the Jews!" They spit on him and used the stick to beat him about the head. "'When they came to the place called The Skull, they nailed him to the cross; there were two criminals, one on the right and one on the left of Yeshua. Yeshua said, "Father, forgive them; they don't understand what they are doing." They divided up his clothes by throwing dice. The people stood watching, and the rulers sneered at him. "He saved others," they said, "so if he really is the Messiah, the one chosen by God, let him save himself!" The soldiers too ridiculed him; they came up, offered him vinegar and said, "If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself!'" Luke 23:33-36 (CJB)

"'People passing by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads and saying, "So you can destroy the Temple, can you, and rebuild it in three days? Save yourself, if you are the Son of God, and come down from the cross!" Likewise, the head cohanim jeered at him, along with the Torah-teachers and elders, "He saved others, but he can't save himself!" "So he's King of Isra'el, is he? Let him come down now from the cross! Then we'll believe him!" "He trusted God? So, let him rescue him if he wants him! Even the robbers nailed up with him insulted him in the same way.'" "'From noon until three o'clock in the afternoon, all the Land was covered with darkness. At about three, Yeshua uttered a loud cry, "Eli! Eli! L'mah sh'vaktani? (My God! My God! Why have you forsaken me?)" On hearing this, some of the bystanders said, "He's calling for Eliyahu (Elijah).'" Matthew 27:45-47 (CJB)

"The rest said, "Wait! Let's see if Eliyahu comes and rescues him." But Yeshua, again crying out in a loud voice, yielded up his spirit. At that moment the parokhet in the Temple was ripped in two from top to bottom; and there was an earthquake, with rocks splitting apart." Matthew 27:49-51

""The soldiers came and broke the legs of the first man who had been put on the cross beside Yeshua, then the legs of the other one; but when they got to Yeshua and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs. However, one of the soldiers stabbed his side with a spear, and at once blood and water flowed out. The man who saw it has testified about it, and his testimony is true. And he knows that he tells the truth, so you too can trust. For these things happened in order to fulfill this passage of the Tanakh: 'Not one of his bones will be broken.' I have quoted only a few of the prophecies in the Tanakh that are about the birth, suffering and death of Yeshua Ha'Mashiach, which have been fulfilled in the New Testament. No one article can contain all the prophecies in the Tanakh about Yeshua Ha'Mashiach. Yeshua is the Mashiach prophecied in the Tanakh. Those that have an ear, listen and accept Yeshua as your Savior that you may have eternal life! Shalom!
