What do you need to do to achieve your dream? How do you reach something so far away from your current condition? In order to achieve your dreams you must break down your vision into achievable milestones and goals. This is a method that has been taught for many years, but is only half the battle. Not only must you create a system of measurable progression through the completion of goals and tasks, but you must also prioritize that which you choose to complete. It is the prioritization of your goals that allows you to efficiently manifest your dream.

Prioritization goes beyond establishing what is most important or what will take the most time. It is important to understand the order in which we break down large ideas or concepts on your way to achieving your dream. Achieving your dream means you will experience a series of milestones. These milestones are significant events indicating progress or development. Milestones are met as a result of reaching a strategically planned series of goals. Goals are a result of your effort and your effort takes the form of work. For many people, work is structured and measured through a “to-do” list.

When you approach things with this mindset you will see that your seemingly mundane to-do list is really attached to your larger vision and to your dreams. Prioritize your tasks by evaluating the goals within which they exist. Here are three questions to assist you in prioritizing your to-do list.

1. Are these goals directly related to your dream?
2. Will the completion of this project open up more opportunities?
3. Will the lack of completion of this project hold up your progress?

The answer to these questions will assign a level of significance to the tasks we wish to complete and the goals we plan to reach. Practice prioritizing your to-do list to increase the rate at which you are able to manifest your dreams and your vision for your life.
