Many times I am in conversation with a potential client or struggling solopreneur and when I ask them what the biggest obstacle is that they feel is preventing them from succeeding, they say “money.” I know at that point that they need to work on their relationship with money. That’s because money is never an obstacle…it is a vehicle. What the person really means is “lack of money,” but their association between money and lack are so indelibly connected, they blame money (rather than the lack of it) for their lack of success.

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you must have a healthy relationship and thorough understanding of money. One Law of Attraction technique you can begin to practice is how you interpret the meaning of money and associating it with abundance instead of lack. Money is not riches or wealth. Money is energy. If you can think of it an energy, you can understand that it is abundantly available everywhere, just like air. You don’t ever worry about running out of air. So why do you worry about running out of money?

Money should be seen as a vehicle for obtaining something. Money is the energy that fuels your success. It’s not the obstacle. The only obstacle to the success that these people I talked to had was their own belief that money was an obstacle. This kind of thinking destroys money’s ability to provide enjoyment of it as well as to attract more of it.

Even thinking that the lack of money is an obstacle is erroneous thinking. As I have practiced the law of attraction techniques that I have learned over the years, I have been able to manifest many of my desires whether or not I had “the money” to pay for them.

Lack of money is just an excuse so a person doesn’t have to move out of their comfort zone. But doing so, or as it is also called, “thinking out of the box” brings abundance in many other ways besides having the money. And as you get better at thinking of HOW you can attract abundance, more of it comes to you, and then you DO have the money.

I had a conversation with two potential clients last week and both of them started out the conversation by saying that they didn’t have any money to pay for my coaching services. I didn’t let that prevent me from discussing their needs and telling them what I could do for them.

At the end of the conversation, one person said that she hoped she could afford me someday. At the end of the other person’s conversation, she said she’d figure out a way. And she did, even though she had said she had no money. I knew it could be done because I’ve done it many times myself. This was just further evidence of how you can manifest your desires if you don’t allow money to be an obstacle.

As a coach, I don’t buy into people’s stories about not having the money. If a person really wants something, they can find a way to get it. It’s just a matter of priorities and redefining their relationship with money.
