If You Don’t Stand for Something You’ll Fall For Anything

I remember I had this really great guy in my English class when I was in high school. He used to get all the teachers mad. He was the kind of person who knew exactly what he wanted from life and let nobody tell him otherwise. I really admired him and I knew he will achieve all that which he was talking about. I was just a teenage who knew nothing about the law of attraction, I did not know anything about setting goals and having big dreams, I did not know anything about how our thought shape our reality and our how our beliefs can hold us back or help us grow. I knew nothing about all these things but I knew there was something special about this person.

So why were the teachers mad with him? Why were they all upset and frustrated with this young boy? I’ll tell you why… because he had a mind of his own and he wasn’t afraid to show it whenever he had the chance to do it. The tribe wants you to listen, wants you to be just like everybody else and when they see signs of “misbehavior” they will do everything they can to get you back where they are. They don’t want you to have your own ideas, they don’t want you to be different because if you do the things you do different from everybody else you are shaking the boat.

We all have desires, we all have needs but if we don’t discover what is it that we want from ourselves and what we stand for, we will live a life that has no value, we will live passively and unfulfilled. If you don’t know what is it that you love to do, if you haven’t yet discover your true meaning, if you aren’t living on purpose, you are probably feeling stuck, frustrated, empty and unhappy. You live your life not knowing why you’re here, not knowing what is it that you need to do with your life and you keep on listening to all the people that are constantly trying to explain you how to live your life. You will wonder around, listening to everybody, you will be influenced by every negative thought and every negative person that will come your way and you will be on a roller coaster for the rest of your life, going up and down over and over again, frightened, frustrated, scared and lost. Your life will be on auto-pilot and you will have no saying in everything that happens to you or around you. How many of us aren’t really living like this? We take advances from everybody and a lot of times everybody is more screw up then we are. Eventually we will go crazy. There’s no other way. Everything is spinning round and round and we just don’t know where to look, we just don’t know where is it that we need to focus our energy, our attention, our time and eventually we get to the end of our lives filled with regrets and sorrows.
So what is it that you stand for? What are your values, what are your dreams and what are your visions for the future?

I personally stand for freedom of expression, freedom of doing that which you believe in and having the courage and power to go after your dreams, to make them all come true. You see, everything we need, everything we want is already out there waiting for us. All the people that we need in our life, all the things, all the right circumstances are already out there and will show up in our lives whenever we’re ready. Life will give us whatever we ask for, whatever we need and in order for that to happen, we have to believe it, we have to get in that state which can allow all the great things and all the wonderful people to enter just enter into our lives. If you aren’t ready when they come your way, it will all go to waste and all your efforts and all your energy will be wasted in vain. What a shame will that be, don’t you think?
