When we hear someone speak about a subject we know nothing about, we think how smart they must be. We wonder how they got to know all they did. We sometimes we wish we were that knowledgeable in the subject and may get motivated to learn more about it. We may buy their books, subscribe to their emails or follow them on Facebook or Twitter to learn more about what they know.

We have experts on finances who tell us how to get out of debt. We have relationship experts who tell us how to get along better with others. We have experts who tell us what to do to get healthier. However, among all of these experts, there is one thing we will never know. There is one thing we can’t comprehend no matter how hard we try. There is one subject that is beyond any human’s understanding no matter what they study or practice.

1 Corinthians 3:18-21 “Stop deceiving yourselves. If you think you are wise by this world’s standards, you need to become a fool to be truly wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, ‘He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness.’ And again, ‘The Lord knows the thoughts of the wise; he knows they are worthless.’ So don’t boast about following a particular human leader. For everything belongs to you”

We will never understand completely God’s love. We can talk about it. We can write about it. We can sing about it. But we will never be able to really know how God can be so forgiving. We never can know how God can be so patient. We never can know how God can give us chance after chance to do right and still love us enough to hold a place for us in heaven because we believe in Him.

We have heard the song “How Deep Is Your Love” written long ago but have we ever asked ourselves that? Can we really love others as much as God loves us? We can’t because we aren’t God. God’s love is a perfect love. He loves us unconditionally no matter what we do. That doesn’t mean He doesn’t get angry with us when we do wrong. That means He forgives us.

If we only knew the secrets, the wisdom, the power of God and if we only would keep that in our minds and hearts throughout the day and night, then we would be willing to live for God in all we do. If we only knew the love of God and if we carried it in our hearts, we would be willing to give to others all we have. If we only knew how wonderful heaven will be and how great our God is, we would be running to do good works for others. We would stay busy day and night doing good things.

However, we live in a world of distractions. We know some about what we should do. We work toward doing it but we get sidetracked. We think about how great God is but we move on to something else. We wish we could make a difference somewhere, somehow but we push it out of our minds as we do our daily routines that we believe we ought to do.

Job 28:23 “God alone understands the way to wisdom; he knows where it can be found,”

It’s time that we seek God and get out of our daily routines. It is time that we get busy for God. What we ought to do is stop our daily routines and make a change to get to know God better. We need to get out and make a difference today. We need to make an adjustment to what we planned to do by asking God what His plans for us are. Our routines in this world may not be His will. What can we get rid of in our routines so that we will know we are working for God?
