You created a business because you have valuable solutions to offer and are in a position to serve hundreds if not thousands of people in your target market. The key however, to reaching these individuals is to put your message, your content out into the world... consistently!

How can you do that? I am going to share with you 8 marketing projects that will help you to spread and monetize the knowledge that you have. You likely have tried one or more of these already but haven't stuck with them the way you intended to. Follow the suggestions I share below to draw traffic to your website, create visibility with your ideal clients and solve problems for the people that you are meant to serve.

1. Blogging about the problems your ideal client is facing - Want to easily increase traffic to your webinar and position yourself as a thought leader? Launch a blog! Actually, you MUST have a blog for your business. Blogging is the one marketing strategy that EVERY business owner must employ. You don't have to be a writer to have a great blog. Your posts can be short or long articles, audits, videos, lists, presentations, whatever you would like. The only thing that matters is that your content is relevant and consistent. Problem: you don't have time to launch and maintain a blog yourself? Solution: Outsource it!

2. Promoting your blog - You have gone through the trouble to create great content for your target market. But, if you don't let people know it's available, no one will stop by to read it. This causes a problem: no one will benefit from your work. You miss out on getting inquiries about your work, new leads, clients and revenue. Solution: Outsource it!

3. Email newsletter - It's not your audience's job to remember that you are available to serve them. It's your job to stay top of mind. One of the easiest, cheapest and most effective ways to do this is to regularly publish an email newsletter. I recommend doing this weekly, every 2 weeks or (at a minimum) once per month. Whichever option you choose, be consistent with it and make sure your message is useful and relevant! Problem: you do not have time to manage this yourself? Solution: Outsource it!

4. Following up with the new contacts you've met at a networking event - You researched the event, took time out of your busy schedule to attend, showed up, built up the nerve to talk to strangers and collected a bunch of business cards. Now what? Your fortune is in the follow-up! Don't leave those cards sitting on your desk collecting dust. Follow up and turn those conversations into opportunities. Problem: you can't seem to get to it! Solution: Outsource it! Hire a virtual assistant to help you.

5. Social media marketing - Research what your ideal client wants and needs. You don't do market research once. This should be an ongoing activity, at least quarterly. You need to be in the know about what actual conversations are taking place about your work, what people are struggling with and what language they are using to describe their problems. Don't assume you know. Be proactive and find out from REAL people. Problem: you just don't have the time. Solution: Outsource it!

6. Creating the copy for your website - Your website should not be entirely about you. It's a tool that will have conversations about your expertise with your audience 24/7, IF it is created properly. Your content has to speak to your ideal client in a way that connects with them emotionally and convinces them in a matter of seconds that they have found the exact solution they are looking for. Problem: you do not feel as if you are a suitable writer who can express yourself in a succinct and compelling way? Solution: Outsource it!

7. Building your website - Unless you have specific training and expertise in building websites, you have no business tackling this yourself. You are a seasoned professional with tremendous value to share. Don't undermine your expert status by putting together a hokey, homemade website. It won't reflect well on you and you will miss out on the exact opportunities you're looking for. Problem: you do not have the skills to build a website that fully represents your brand. Solution: Outsource it!

8. Launching your product, program or service - As a service professional, you have valuable content that the world needs to see, hear and consume. You can share this important information in a wide variety of ways. The knowledge that you possess can be packaged in a product such as a home study course, an ebook or a video training. It can be shared as a coaching course that is conducted over several weeks or months. Another option is to offer your expertise as a done for you (DFY) service. However, there may be a problem: you just don't know where to start. Solution: Outsource it or get help from a business mentor who has accomplished what you are after.

Did you notice a common theme? Yes... Outsource it! You can keep futzing around, making excuses, wasting time and missing out on opportunities. OR, you can get someone skilled and experienced to do the work for you consistently (that's the key word) so you can reap the benefits.
