Honor your body especially now that we are celebrating Spring. After the usual excesses of the winter season it is time to get back to our routine and daily practices to bring more balance in our body and in our lives. Moderation in all things is key here.

There are many ways to honor your body. Yoga, pilates, walking, exercising, swimming, hiking, massage, Reiki healing, breathing, eating and drinking healthfully are some of the ways to bring balance to your body. Check in with yourself to see what changes you need to make. What do you need to feel more in alignment?

We are spirit in physical form and our bodies are divinely created. When you honor your body you are honoring not only yourself, but the Divine as well. We are perfectly human and perfectly divine. We are spirit having a human experience.

Temple of Spirit

Temple of spirit is what the body truly is. Our bodies are the vehicle of the source that dwells within us. When we acknowledge our body as sacred we then naturally treat it with more respect and care. We express our spirit through creativity, play and selfless service for our fellow brothers and sisters.

The temple of spirit means that as sacred beings we need to take good care for our bodies each day so that they run well like the magnificent machinery that they are. Eating healthful live foods, drinking plenty of water and exercise are some ways to honor your body. Being tuned in to what our body needs for more balance is important such as massage, Reiki Healing or chiropractic care.

We respect the temple of spirit by nurturing our bodies on the inside as well as the outside. Positive self talk, meditation, affirmations and seeing our own inner beauty supports the balance between the inner and outer sacredness of our being.

These practices take time, effort, intention and consistency. It is well worth it as the benefits we receive are invaluable when we honor our body by knowing it is the temple of spirit. Ultimately we come home to ourselves.

Self Love

Self love is an essential ingredient in order to honor your body. Stand naked, look in the mirror and say "I love you" to yourself several times slowly. Look deeply into your eyes seeing the beauty of your body and the beauty of your spirit. Really let yourself experience self love from deep within your heart. You are a divine being with a unique body like no other.

This self love exercise is simple yet has a profound effect when you practice it daily. Let your feelings rise up without judgement, for love brings up everything unlike itself. The intention of this exercise is focused on healing your judgement about your body image thus embracing yourself through self love.

Once you get to see the negative thoughts, limiting beliefs and judgements that you have about your body, then you can begin to let them go. Healing is the natural by-product of this process of self love. Continue to say "I love you" to yourself each day, allowing a transformation to happen which results in embracing and loving yourself completely just the way you are.

We are bombarded in the media by images of beautiful women and handsome men. When we compare ourselves to these unrealistic standards of beauty that are imposed upon us we lose touch with ourselves. All comparisons of self to other set us up for failure. Stop the comparison and look in the mirror and see yourself with the loving and accepting eyes of self love. Feel the peace inside you when you come home to yourself once again with complete acceptance.

Embracing Self

Embracing self is the result of self love. When we love and accept ourself fully without exception we are set free to be who we truly are. No longer are we focused on comparing ourselves to a standard set by others and no longer focused on our imperfections . We are then released from the limiting perceptions of ourself as being not good enough and less than others. The chains of self loathing no longer bind us and are replaced by the joy of feeling comfortable in our own skin.

Embracing self is the key to the locked door that we have lived behind for years. When you unlock the door to your newfound freedom let your body express itself through dance, swimming, hiking, love making, creativity and more.

Embracing self is the result of self love and seeing your body as the temple of spirit. Honor your body and experience the bliss of who you are, spirit in physical form, unique unto yourself. Simply divine!

Maureen goes into a meditative state where she accesses specific guidance in answer to the questions being asked. The channeled information she receives during and intuitive reading is spiritual, yet very practical. After a reading with Maureen, individuals feel more relaxed, reassured and more positive about their lives.

Reiki Training & Reiki Healing

In September 1992 Maureen received her first degree Reiki training. After years of practicing Reiki healing in small groups, workshops, centers, and retreats throughout the United States, Maureen received her second degree Reiki and Reiki Master Degree in August 1999.
