So how do you eliminate emotional toxins? I really believe that if you are sharing your pain with somebody else, somebody you care about, somebody you trust, you are cutting the pain in half every time you do so. “Pain is life- the sharper, the more evidence of life.”Charles Lamb
So what do you do when all that negative energy, all your past frustrations, pains and sorrows are about to explode and your mind can’t take it anymore, when you can’t take it anymore? A lot of times we get in this state because we suppress all of our emotions. We believe that we have to be strong and we believe that people expect us to remain calm, to act in a certain way under different circumstances. So much pressure from everybody around us. We have to be strong, we have to be brave and we have to hide all signs of weakness and sensibility because if we don’t, we might be disappointing them.

We think so much about what others think and we try to always be what they expect us to be and we loose sight of who we are, we loose sight of what’s important for us and we loose sight of what makes us happy. We end up waking up one day, feeling lost, having no idea how it all started and how we end up here. Who are we now? What has happened to us and why did we let it come this far? Is there a way back? Would we know what that way back is? Do we even want to go back? What do we do from here? Where do we go and how do we find ourselves? It’s hard to trust those around us because we might think that they are the reason we are here in the first place. It’s hard to trust ourselves because look where we end up for trusting ourselves. We have so many confusing thoughts, so many questions… And how would we know what would be the right answer, what would be the best solution to our problems?

I personally believe that first of all you have to learn how to take responsibility for everything you are feeling right now and for everything that has happened to you so far. When you choose to blame others for what are you experiencing, when you choose to blame others for your frustration, bitterness, anger, for your pain and suffering, you are giving all your power away. Once you choose to see that you are the only one responsible for the way you are feeling, once you choose to see that you are the only one responsible for what you have become, you will have the power to change things, you will have the power to work on achieving your happiness, your peace of mind. So if that is the case, why would you give your power away?
Once you have taken responsibility for your feelings, for your emotions, for your life, try to get in touch with what you are feeling, try to get in touch with your emotions. Try to identify them. What is it that you are feeling? Inadequacy, rejection, frustration, disappointment, guilt, loneliness?

You see, all of your feelings are there because they are trying to communicate you something, they are trying to let you know that you need to change your approach to life, you need to change your actions and you need to change your polluted way of thinking. If for example frustration is present in your life, that means you have to change your approach to life. If you are feeling guilt, that is because you have violated your standards, your values. If you are feeling lonely, that means you need to connect with people, you need to go out there and make new friends, meet new people. You need to socialize. You see, everything that happens to us, happens for a reason, and that reason is to help us grow.

Once you have identified your emotions, write them down on a peace of paper and after doing that, read them out loud. You will feel so much better. You will release a lot of that negative energy and by doing that you might realize that some of your problems aren’t really problems and that your mind created them for one reason or another. Another thing that you can do is to share it with someone you trust and by doing this, the intensity of those negative emotions will fade little by little… “Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.” Francesca Reigler
