Unfortunately, many of us have created the habit of reaching for food as a comfort tool when strains find their way into our lives. When we feel hassled many of us deal with our worrisome feelings by opening the pantry door, pulling out our comfort food and wolfing it down to make us feel better and alleviate our concerns. Does it work? Nope! Does it add calories to your day? Yep! Is it sabotaging your goals? Absolutely! Let’s see what action we can take to deal with stress on a daily basis.

Workout~plain and simple, it’s the healthiest way to deal with the darn stuff.
Eat clean~eating well equates to living well and feeling good; all of which decrease stress.
Take action~taking 100% responsibility for you allows you to create the life you love.
Alone time~making time each day just for you is essential to be able to function calmly.
Breathe~take nice deep breathes to quiet down your inner pace.
Journal~the power of the pen is invaluable in its ability to create tranquility.
Siesta~a twenty minute doze can do wonders for the composed way in which you rise.

Be aware that very often stress can be self-induced, so be sure to delve into your own decision making and question whether your actions or non-actions could be adjusted to seek a harmonious life.
