In recent years there's been a number of TV products that promoted home fitness. While the idea of getting fit, being healthy and losing weight from the comfort of your own home is great, the reality does not always work out like that. Often times these TV products try and push some new "machine" that promises to change it all but for so many of us its simply does not work out the way its promised.

While its easy to put the blame on the product it might be worth looking a little further. In theory, if 1 person can achieve results then we all can, right? Some might disagree but the simple fact remains and that is that no machine or no product can do it "for you". You really have to take responsibility and take it upon yourself to make it happen.

While machines, diets and products can be great tools to help you achieve your weight loss and fitness goals, it remains just that - tools. Its there to help you and not to do it for you. Whether you do it at home, on the road, in a swimming pool or even in a gym the principles are the same. Health and fitness is something that starts within. In the end the things that really matter is not how good your diets or products are but rather how good your motivation and dedication is.

Home fitness in my opinion does give you some great advantages. Will power is the one thing that most people struggle with and having to go to a gym every day is just not good for will power. It can become a very convenient excuse and one that you can fall back on way too easy. Exercising in the comfort of your own home leaves you with very little excuses for not getting your 45 minutes every day. In fact, when you have the equipment at home there are very little excuses you can use.

The real secret to making this work for you is to turn it into a habit. Going to a gym can be a very time consuming thing. Sometimes it can take you an hours just to get there and get started. When you are at home its really a case of hop on and hop off and if you want a 45 minute workout you just need to set aside 45 minutes and maybe a 5 minute shower afterward.

So, if you have motivation issues and if self discipline is a problem for you in losing weight and getting fit and healthy then I would recommend you look into home fitness. Its easy, its inexpensive and most of all - it works!
