Chances are that one of the final destinations on your cleaning schedule could potentially point to the guest bathroom. Typically this room is out of sight for the most part and when it’s out of sight it generally then refers to out of mind. Let’s shed some light on this particular room in your home and specific ways of making it an inviting area for your guests.
As you can gather today’s organizing event is that spare bathroom that tends to collect dust when not being utilized. Today’s the day to spend a little effort in your extra bathroom area and leave it sparkling, smelling fresh and looking gorgeous for all your future visitors and periodic callers; cleverly arranging your area to cater to the personal needs in a spa-like retreat.
~Clear out all clutter from the guest bathroom area so that you can clean thoroughly from top to bottom making sure to end with the floor and then give it time to dry.
~Arrange fresh bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths in the area.
~Fresh flowers are a great touch of freshness and everyone loves a beautiful bouquet.
~Put out a new, unwrapped bar of soap in the bath/shower region with an extra wash cloth for it to rest on and look pretty. Consider adding a gorgeous bottle of bubble bath and candles to entice a relaxing soak in the tub.
~Place a wicker basket or attractive container to house convenient personal items that your visitors may have forgotten to pack. Why not offer: face and body soap, face and body lotion, razors, toothpaste, extra toothbrush, floss, shampoo and conditioner, hair gel, hair spray, tweezers, acetaminophen, ibuprofen, candle lighter.
~Be sure to place extra toilet tissue in clear view and position it close for easy access. An air freshener and a candle can be situated on the top of the tank lid for usability and a reading rack can be posed at the side of the commode.
~Consider hanging fresh laundered dressing gowns on the door hooks for your guest to utilize on their stay. There’s nothing like slipping into a cozy robe after a warm shower or bath.
~Clear out unnecessary items from medicine cabinets, draws and closets so your guests have room for their personal items when unpacking for their stay.
Feeling welcome in another’s home speaks volumes for your ability to set the stage and create an environment that encourages a relaxed atmosphere, a relaxing stay and a gracious invitation for your guests to enjoy their stay in your home.
