Stuck in a rut and living Groundhog day? Always felt there ought to be something more out there for you? There is. Get started rocking your world now!
1. Get your blood thumpin’ and pumpin’, and I don’t mean exercise. This about being excited to your toenails about something big in your life and world. It’s about having a vision of so much good stuff for you, your family, your community, and the world, that your back teeth are swimming in electric energy. If the most thrilling thing you have to look forward in your day is what’s on the coffee cart, then truly this is the time to shake off the reverie.
Here’s a short list for you to consider:
· Raise $100 000 for your favourite charity.
· Run a marathon.
· Publish a book.
· Start a support group for parents abused by their kids.
· Double your income.
· Start a cooperative business staffed by at-risk teenagers.
· Marry the love of your life.
· Build an eco-friendly house with neutral carbon emissions.
· Teach a community college course on your favourite social justice issue with ready solutions.
· Start a blog for a cause.
· Do a round the world trip.
2. Nail your doubts and fears to the wall. If your idea gets you all riled up and wriggly, and then gets squashed by the fear and doubt monster, then you need to kill those suckers once and for all. This is the only thing getting in between you and your outcomes. Work with a coach to fast-track this process.
3. Get engaged, with other people in the community who support your vision. Your enthusiasm will stir theirs, and theirs will accelerate yours. Like bees to pollen, you’ll soon be a hive bursting with activity with sweet goodness oozing forth.
4. Ride the wave. Create a tidal wave of momentum and energy by declaring your intentions to the world, through your networks, Facebook, blog, email, work noticeboard, a stall at a country market.
5. Model. I don’t mean get your fancy duds on and strut the catwalk; I mean find a role model who has done something similar that you admire. Pick apart their strategy, their contacts, their ideas, their beliefs. If you can, take them out to lunch and ask them for advice, suggestions,
6. Just do it. I love that Nike slogan. So simple. Strap on your runners and just do it. Take some action right now. Send an email, look up a website, make a phone call - anything to move you forward. But do it now.
7. Enjoy the ride. When you are on fire and jazzed up about something, the whole world feels it with you. That’s your sole major responsibility: get funked up and busting at the seams with joy and excitement. Got it? Good.
Hey, thanks for rocking my world! Thanks for being there to read my emails, posts, ebooks, and articles. Connecting with thousands of people each day really sends my head and heart swimming in to the cosmos with joy. You guys rock!
