The beginning of January I listened in as Jennifer McLean interviewed guest Geoffrey Hoppe, who channels Adamus St. Germain, on her "2010 Predictions Week" teleseminar series. According to Adamus St. Germain, the theme for 2010 is "trusting in what you cannot see yet," which is part of preparing for 2012. In this article, I discuss three of the important myths St. Germain pointed out in the ninety-minute interview. We will need to let go of these myths as part of preparing for 2012.

Myth #1

The first big myth to which the New Age community is prone is: thoughts create our reality. "That is not quite so true," St. Germain said. "It is your passion and your desire that creates your reality...It takes your desire, a passionate choice..."

What he is saying here is that thoughts, on their own, are insufficient. But when you have a passion and a desire for something you will focus on it, you will spend time working on it and this will create your reality.

Myth #2

The second big myth is: affirmations work. St. Germain brought up the topic of affirmations and asked those who were listening, "So, how have they been working for you?"

Not so well, I would think. St. Germain then said, "Affirmations do not work. What creates reality is at a deeper level, a much more potent level."

What he is saying here is your reality is created at the soul level, the level of the higher self, not--as many understand--the level of the ego or human mind. (So we can all stop blaming the ego now...) He said, "Your soul potential is your hidden, undiscovered, unactivated potential that hasn't even come into your consciousness yet. You can't see it yet." And, he said, it is the "melding of the soul with the human" that will give you the expanded awareness to all this. In other words, the key to preparing for 2012 lies in the process of integrating with your higher self.

Myth #3

The third myth is: the integrating process is easy (or, it should be easy). St. Germain said the reconnecting and integrating process is challenging and that those who attempt it get to a point where they need to make a mental leap...but they question themselves and they get stopped and revert back to their old reality.

I totally understand. I can also discuss this in detail because years ago, I was in the same boat. It's where most people get tripped up.

The truth is, you stop because you need to make a mental leap to advance, you need to trust in what you cannot yet see to activate the process while not allowing yourself to feel like you're crazy for going forward. You need to set aside any thoughts regarding your sanity. You need to not let yourself go there, otherwise you will not take the actions that your higher self is prompting you to take, actions that will reveal to you the secrets of the universe.

Nine years ago I was asked to write books on personal transformation and spirituality even though I had no formal training in these fields. I chose to go for it, eventually. However, when I let myself think about the "real" basis for my actions, it felt like I was hitting against the edges of sanity. So I didn't go there. Instead, I chose to trust that one day, my actions were going to make a difference, and I went back to work on my project. This was not easy to do because as an engineer, I was trained to trust in only the physical, in the plain evidence you see before you. But I broke through and gained unique firsthand experience that I can now share with others. I wrote those books and am an "example of new consciousness" for people who are going through this process now.

The best thing you can do when you get into a difficult situation (where you find yourself questioning yourself, or when you feel stuck) is to go do some more work on your creative project--the one that you're passionate about, the one that makes you think who the hell are you to be doing that? When you make the choice to trust and follow through with your inner guidance, you will be rewarded for your efforts with favorable synchronicities that forward your project in some amazing way. This will be your confirmation that you are on the right path to discovering your unique contribution. By the way, doing this is part of preparing for 2012.

Another thing that may trip you up is how people in your life will respond to your new project. I took actions that were based on trusting what I did not see yet and this caused strife in my family as well as with some friends. (Well, I still take those kinds of actions, only it is way easier now...) Relationships broke up, there was drama, but the good news is that my relationships are mending now.

St. Germain predicted that for a lot of people on this planet, there will be more separations between families and friends in the next couple of years. This is not necessarily a bad thing, he implied. He said not to worry about relationships because the situation is only temporary. "Those who leave will come back a few months or years later," he said. He implied that much will transform by the end of 2012.

"The world needs examples of new consciousness," he said near the end of the interview. Are you ready to be an example and begin preparing for 2012?
