With all the pressures and demands that we face in today’s society, finding peace seems like a far off dream. But what if I could suggest some simple practices that would help to usher in peace and balance? These are what I call meditative moments...these moments are done as often as time allows. However, morning and evening times are essential and the most powerful times of the day, in my opinion, because they represent the opening/closing or start/finish.
Note; Morning moments may take some getting used to and some preparation the night before may be needed.
Let’s begin...
Morning Meditative Moment
Wake up 45mins-1 hour (or more if you can) BEFORE your normal time.
Do some light stretching to aid the body in "waking up".
1. Sit in whatever position is most comfortable for you as long as you’re sitting upward, back/spine straight. No slouching!
2. Close your eyes OR have a focus object (stones work well) take 3 deep cleansing breathes through the nose and push the air out slowly out your mouth with your belly.
3. Become aware of yourself; with every breath visualize a white light surrounding you.
4. Now visualize what you want for your day but at the same time being open and grateful for the coming events of the day, show you will respond to negativity, etc.
5. Once you have absorbed what you needed for the day open your eyes when you are ready.
6. Take a deep... Breathe. Balance. Be and smile!

Evening Meditation moment
This can be done after you have settled for the night; it works well prior to bed.
4. With every breath go over the events of your day gratefully take from the events ONLY what is needed to increase your light, peace, progress and balance. The rest release in love.
5. Once you have absorbed what you needed open your eyes when you are ready.
6. Take a deep... Breathe. Balance. Be and smile! Rest well and completely.
Journaling from within greatly enhances the gratitude and releasing process. I will go over this in an upcoming article. Remember to be patient with yourself, give your time to adjust to these meditative moments. This is a lifestyle change, not a temporary fix. Relect on how long it could have possible taken you to adopt this mindset/behavior. That too was a process, so this will be a process as well. One that will revitalize you, empower, strengthen, and most importantly invoke peace and balance. Both of which you can share with the whole world!
Until next time...love, light & peace!
