I have been working in the travel industry for over thirteen years now. I took my training and received my certification in San Francisco at the International Tour Management Institute (ITMI). At that time I was living in Colorado Springs but was a citizen of Canada.
From the moment I finished my training I knew the tour companies would send me to Canada. I was absolutely right. My first tour was to Canada!
One thing that did happen to me when I started to tour in Canada was I gained a new outlook and appreciation for my country. I fell into a love affair with Canada, its history, the roads I travelled and the people I met. Many of them have become my dear friends.
I eventually moved back to my home province of Alberta in November, 2000. As much as I love the United States and all my interesting experiences there, I was happy to come home. Home is where you hang your heart.
Besides Canada, I've toured overseas and in the United States. I have been so blessed to see many wonderful areas of the world, to meet interesting people (my favorite part) but mostly to grow as a person. Travel opens a whole world of confidence, knowledge and understanding. It is a marvellous teacher. You just need to listen with your whole heart.
I'm excited to meet more people of like mind through this network. We must associate with the ones who move us forward in life. It will be my pleasure to get to know many of you.
I'll be coming out with some books on travel, one being on the many stories of my experiences on the road. It's an eventful life, that's for sure! I have just published my travel website, www.travelandluggagesolutions.com that includes luggage sales, travel tips and eventually a blog on my travels.
Besides travel, I am passionate about music, history, gardening, and my horse. I love all types of music (and horses) and have plans to put together some music tours in the future (along with some others). The possibilities are endless for great music, not to mention fantastic locations and sightseeing.
So as we move forward in this new adventure, I wish everyone much success, may your heart's desire be abundantly rewarded and may you go forth in faith.
Conceive it. Believe it. Take steps to achieve it. Then leave it to God and prepare to Receive it.
