"We have lost touch with our birthrights
to holistic wellness and our deep connections to the earth and the heavens."
Wendy imagined a world where a well grounded and balanced
life style was common. Where excellent physical, mental and spiritual health
was a normal part of daily life and where holistic health and wellness, natural
remedies and clean air, food and water were expected parts of daily life. Balanced ways of life have been lost as ancient and native cultures are lost in the great melting pot of modern Earth. Now it is time to start making our way back to balance.
She pursued her own holistic health regime, travel and
personal development for 15 years before joining the health industry. She
studied in Ecuador and Peru where she
was intrigued by the simplicity of native nutritional and preventative
approaches to healthy living. Wendy also lived for four years in Mexico working
with animals. With the responsibility for their nutritional health and without
access to pre-made foods she experimented with local ingredients to make
healthy meals daily for dogs, cats, domestic and wild birds entrusted to her
care. While in Mexico
she was also introduced to naturopathy, iridology, intuitive discovery and
nutritional and herbal remedies. This began her exploration of holistic health
and the practice of the healing arts and sciences.
It wasn't until working many years as a business consultant
in New York City and finally the tragedy of the 9/11 bombings of the Twin
Towers that convinced her it was time to follow her life passion and to live
her daily life actively as part of the Solution.
Wendy immersed herself in massage and holistic health
studies at the Swedish Institute of Massage and Acupuncture (now the Swedish Institute: College of Health Sciences) and the Institute for
Integrative Nutrition.
Wendy opened NeogenIsis Holistic Health & Wellness
Clinic in Milwaukie, Oregon in 2006. She has also enjoyed working
as a medical massage therapist at Adventist Medical Center in the Specialty
Rehab Department: OR, at the Cabrini Pain Center, post surgical unit; NYC, for
the NYC women's basketball team and in the Day Spa on Park in Manhattan.
