About Me:
I have often been referred to as a "Renaissance Man", someone who has many interests and skills. I hold a BA in both English and Musicology and a Masters in Media Communication and Management. I am also a Vietnam Vet.
I got into the self help arena while studying for my Master's Degree at Emerson College in Boston, when I took a year long course in Assertiveness Training. It was an eye opener and a door opener as well, for I formed many great relationships with the Psychology department and the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
I also got heavily into computers at that time and began looking for a way to use the power of computer technology to create self help programs for others, something members of the Psychology Department at the school were very encouraging about. The results are in the section: The Digital Subliminal Perception Program Concept of this bio.
Of course, I have other interests as well:
I enjoy composing electronic music on my Roland XV-5080 synthesizer sound module and even published two musical albums.
I enjoy writing and have authored and co-authored four books.
I have a quirky and absurd sense of humor and a love of cats which I combined to create ClydeSight 2.0 - The Fun and Games Cat Site, which has won a number of Internet awards.
And I like, for some strange reason, to restore vintage audio tape recorders (mostly portables) that I find on E-Bay. I make educational videos of these machines for folks on YouTube. You can see them by visiting my: ClydeSight Channel.
But, since this is supposed to be an "experts page" about Digital Subliminal Perception Programs, the rest of my bio will tell you their story.
The Digital Subliminal Perception Program Concept - Subliminal Messages with a Difference
I started developing the Digital Subliminal Perception Program in 1981-2 while I was in a Master's program at Emerson College in Boston, MA.
The initial prototype program was developed for the Commodore computer because it had a unique timing chip and was an affordable color computer. It was reviewed in Commodore Computing magazine as part of their BEST Programs of the Year issue. I worked with members of the departments of Psychology and Social and Behavioral Sciences while developing the concept to ensure content and proper use of visual subliminal techniques as they were understood at the time.
Unfortunately, Commodore went out of business, and computers changed considerably since then. With the advent of FLASH technology, I was able to revisit my subliminal message delivery concept using FLASH as the engine for my programs. Of course, I also kept abreast of what was being done in the scientific literature and learned a great deal more about what have shown evidence of being effective visual subliminal message techniques.
The current development of the DSPP (Digital Subliminal Perception Programs) run on MAC and PC computers.
They are unique in that they are individual DEDICATED sessions on specific topics and run in full screen mode, not on top of currently running programs. They have pre-written messages, the content of which is advised by Boston area hypnotherapist John Murray. They also have a uniquely developed animation background that helps stimulate the generation of Alpha and Theta brainwaves for additional effectiveness of the subliminal messages.
These programs also serve a specific handicapped need. Because they are entirely VISUAL, they are ideal for the deaf or hard of hearing. They run in complete silence.
