I grew up in Pittsburgh, received my BA from the University of Colrado in Fine Arts and American Studies, and while studying Psychlogy in graduate school, my night time dreaming led me to study massage in 1987. Currently i am working on a project on healing which will lead to a Certificate in Process Work from the Process Work Institute in Portland. I am also training to be a spiritual retreat guide through the Sufi Healing Order.
One of the aspects I love about working in the field of massage, body work and healing is there is no end to learning new techniques and deepening my ability to be a healing presence for people.
In addition to my work, and being a Hospice volunteer, I love to "do art", write, swim, hike, read, and enjoy the amazing richness of the moment no matter where I am or what I am doing.
"One of the things I love about working with Tamara is that I can ask directly for what I want whether it be deep tissue work or something to just relax me. She solicits feedback and listens!"
"There's a unique blend of caring, presence and authenticity in Tamara's work. It's not just a "job" for her but an extension of the way she lives her life; a real gift to those she touches."
"Tamara is strong and gentle. She is engaged and active, respectful and responsive. She works with the physical body and the energy inside and beyond it."
"It's not just her talent as a healer, it's who she is as a person that keeps me coming back. It's like coming home, even if just for an hour."
