Sergei was born and raised in Palo Alto, California. Following graduation from San Jose State College he joined the Peace Corps and taught science in Ghana, West Africa, through the 1966-68 school years. This was followed by seven years as a junior physicist and then four years in the U.S. Army. In 1981 Sergei turned to radar systems engineering and worked at Vandenberg AFB, and then in 1983 joined the Radar Systems Group at Hughes Aircraft Company, which later became a Raytheon unit. Sergei retired in 2008. His travel experience includes a six month trip around the world in 1971-72 and ten trips to China over the 1981-2002 time span. In 2003 Sergei published a book about free will, "Thinking in Los Angeles," and updated it with an addendum in 2008.
Careful study of the topic of Free Will discloses that Free Will does not exist. This means that no one, at any time, could have done other than what he or she did. Consequently it is permissible to cease to judge and to blame oneself, and also to cease to judge and to blame others. For those who may have been overly burdened with such behaviors, this can be a path to happiness.
Relationship problem? Personality conflict? It could not have been otherwise! But now that you know there is no free will, it can be different from today forward!
When you understand that there is no free will- then and only then- are you ready to fully appreciate the wisdom of the New Testament, and Buddhism, and Taoism, and Hinduism.
