I am a 50 year-old mother of two daughters, one granddaughter, 3 stepsons, three dogs, and three cats. I am a member of the 66% of Americans who divorced twice.
Unlike the 66% population group of people who divorce after re-marriage, reasons behind the second divorce had nothing to do with step relationships. As a matter of fact, I attribute the decision to become a life and parent coach (specifically to help stepfamilies) to my youngest stepson.
After I finished taking courses towards a continuing education in psychology degree at my local community college, I became a student at Coachville. Coachville has given me a strong foundation of coaching proficiencies. I am a member of the staff at the International Stepfamily Foundation and am a student of Jeanette Lofas’ Stepfamily Foundation in New York City. I am also a student of Peter K. Gerlach’s teaching, who is a retired SAA 27-year board member & expert advisor for the National Stepfamily Resource Center.
I have been coaching couples to stepfamily success for the past seven years and it is my passion. Step Family Success is where step does not HAVE to be a four letter word!

I offer a 30 day, risk-free guarantee. If, within the first 30 days of our coaching relationship, you feel that the process is unlikely to make a difference in your life and/or family, please let me know and I will cheerfully refund your fees to you.
For prepaid programs, coaching fees are due before our first session. For monthly programs, coaching fees are due on the first of each month. When fees are agreed to and paid up front, we can then focus our sessions on the real task at hand (getting the results you want). The first step we make is to figure out an hour during the week that we are all free to spend co-creating a plan to reach your family’s specific goals. On that first call it is typical for me to try to get you and your partner to identify those values and goals that are most important to you both. The second call is usually spent crafting a set of rules which will support those goals and values. The third call is spent discussing ways to implement the new family rules so that they apply to all family members and all houses. I have written material, assessments, programs and books that can help with the planning phase depending on your family situation. Once the planning phase is completed our calls will involve a great deal of questions, compromises and styling of the new house rules into a form that functions well in real time. I don’t expect this process to take longer than four months. By then, even if the kids still have issues (and they will) you co-parents are well on your way to being comfortable with your family plan. A one-month coaching contract consists of one-hour weekly sessions with short phone calls between sessions and a considerable amount of e-mail contact. These “just in time” calls are often necessary to iron out emergency situations that were not drafted into the original house rules & nobody could have planned for! Moral support is a given in coaching! If you have decided that it is a very specific area in your steplife that needs coaching, maybe an hour is all you need to jumpstart that process. You could be right. Send me an email to set up a session and we can get started. A single session designed to focus work on a specific topic or goal with personalized feedback, support and accountability. What you do and what you get:
