Priscilla Goslin is author and self-publisher of the international bestseller "How to Be a Carioca." With over 100,000 copies sold worldwide, the book "is as much a compendium of tongue-in-cheek observations about [Rio] as it is a handbook for the newcomer,” as reviewed by Time magazine.
Goslin is a successful entrepreneur and founder of three companies. She self-published "How to Be a Carioca" by establishing her own publishing house, which is solely responsible for the book's design, editing, marketing, printing and distribution worldwide. Without the benefits of a publicist, her book has enjoyed extensive national and international media coverage: Time magazine, Travel & Leisure, New York Times, Washington Post, Financial Post, Nat Geo Traveller, Prime Time with Diane Sawyer, Anthony Bourdain: A Cook’s Tour, BBC World Service and WGBH Boston, among others.
A much sought-after speaker, she has addressed numerous travel groups with her commentaries on Rio.
With a BFA in Graphic Design, Goslin is partner and creative director at S/2M2, a design studio specializing in interactive design. Prior to S/2M2, she founded DesignCorp, providing design services focused on corporate identity and collateral print design.
