A former publisher (OPA Publishing - 70+ titles to market), I have backed off these days to the role of consultant to first time authors, self-publishing authors, and small publishers. I confine my personal activities to the "front end" of the book creation process; i.e., concepts, development, pre-production and print/electronic production of books in all genres. But my company, OPA Author Services, can take an author from concept to cash register via a network (consortium) of specialists who provide post-publication services like marketing, advertising, publicity, out-of-bookstore sales, distribution, retail promotion, media exposure and other functions so necessary to success in today's crowded marketplace.

My background includes over 7 years of professional speaking and training activities all over North America. I lectured and taught negotiating skills and produced a popular workshop on personal growth and change called "Betterchange." I still accept an occasional speaking assignment, but -- as with my publishing activity -- the load is light, thus freeing my soul and body for much better things, like getting to know my clients at levels deep enough to influence their progress positively.
