Oakland is fascinated by and passionate about the human potential and often gives dynamic inspiring presentations and trainings on the subject. He is a Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistics Programming (NLP) which is the study of how we use the language of the mind to consistently achieve our specific and desired outcome. It is essentially a model of communication, personality and excellence.

Oakland is also board certified in Hypnosis and Time Line Therapy™ . He has been involved with NLP for more than 15 years. With personal clients Oakland helps them get beyond their perceived limits. With business clients Oakland has carved out a niche marrying NLP communication techniques with mobile marketing. He has developed a very effective 5 E mobile marketing system.

In Oakland's corporate life he was responsible for managing a portfolio of fortune 500 companies on a global basis. He managed a portfolio of over $150 MM. Having never lost an account Oakland is the consummate relationship builder and has used his NLP knowledge to help his 14 year success. As a General Manager Oakland had global responsibility for multiple concurrent projects. He was tasked with cutting cost out of the travel budget of his fortune 500 clients. This entailed leading global virtual teams to implement the strategies that he crafted. This also involved his skillfully working with the clients through change management. His work gained him the distinction of always getting the highest overall grade on his customer satisfaction surveys which was a very challenging feat. Not only was he successful on managing his client relationships but he was also able to consistently deliver on growth and profitability goals. His negotiation skills earned him the distinction of never loosing an client which is unheard of the competitive space. To top it off his clients looked at him as a trusted advisor.

Along with utilizing NLP techniques Oakland says he owes his success to the discipline that he developed after being involved in Martial arts for just about all his adult life. He earned the distinction of being awarded Second Degree Black Belt.
