My name is Noel McNaughton. I am based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, and am the owner of www.midlife-men.com.
For several years (starting when I was about 49 years old, in 1994, and finally ending in early 2002), I went through a major midlife transition. I have learned it is called Viropause, or Andropause, or (incorrectly) Male Menopause.
Now that I have 'come out the other side', and back in the world, so to speak, I do a number of things as a service to the world.
My formal training and experience include 30 years in both media and interpersonal communications. I am a former television journalist with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, and an internationally-syndicated radio commentator on the national CBC radio network, and on Radio Canada International, as well as a freelance writer, producer, director and on-camera host.
I am now in my sixties, and am a mentor to people who are pondering life questions. I am active in The ManKind Project, and act as an elder in the organization's New Warrior Training Adventure.
If you are struggling through a midlife transition, I may be able to help you.
If you are going through some midlife changes, (maybe you feel a bit like you are 'lost in the woods') midlife-men.com can be your guide and companion. It will take the mystery out of the changes that happen at midlife, and show you how to handle them so you can 'graduate' to the fuller life beyond.
If you have unanswered questions, ask me, and I may be able to help.
It is important to realize that not all midlife transitions are midlife crises, but they do cause major changes in our lives, whether they feel like crises or not.
