Everyone seeks a balanced life, but very few think about the waves - without them, life would be flat, boring. Riding them effectively can be exhilerating, and empowering - like surfing or snowboarding, there is a rush of excitement at mastering a dangerous moment. Life is filled with waves, small drama's such as oversleeping the alarm, and large ones such as losing your job.
I have been through lots of waves in my life - from failed adoption plans, failed marriage and ex-spouse suicide, failed business and bankruptcy - yet I am pretty happy with my lot in life, because I am internally balanced and able to ride the waves with confidence. While I would change some things about my life, those things are in how I personally behaved or reacted to events... not what anyone else did or didn't do. I know that the only thing I have total control over is how I react to and approach life and life's waves.
I have worked over 30 years in various technologies from microfilm to mainframe to telecommunications to internet and have been tremendously successful in spite of the various dramas in my life. I have nurtured the spiritual part of my personality by pursuing art and a variety of other creative hobbies and I am an avid endorser and practitioner of random acts of kindness.
As a life coach and business mentor, I know about hurdles from personal experience. As a previous manager of people in large and small groups, I know how those hurdles affect all aspects of people's lives and how often they are unaware that their valiant attempts to compartmentalize are not really working.
I am a strong listener, I judge the actions and behaviors and not the person - so we can explore and examine them without fear. I am a facilitator of personal discovery. And when you fall off the surf board in the waves of your life - I am there to throw you a line, and help keep you afloat.
I have been drawn to energy work, and recently completed training and attunement as a Reiki Practitioner. I look forward to practicing Reiki as well as continuing to coach and support everyone's journey.
