I spent the first 20 working years in upper management in the computer software industry and in owning an engineering software company. One day I knew I was done, so I quit and went back to grad school to become a Psychotherapist.
I attended the Univ. of Santa Monica which was a 3 year experientially based program with a spiritual influence. Great. The next 14 years I devoted to counseling, became certified in EEG Neurofeedback, learned German Energy Medicine (EDS?EAV - this measures meridians - fabulous asset to my business and my clients), became certified in nutrition (CNC), and attended the California College of Natural Medicine and became a Naturopath, and also got licensed as a Massage Therapist. I found that Psychotherapy was not nearly as affective as the other modalities, so I eliminated it from my practice to focus upon the other modalities with a little light positively focused coaching.
So now my practice is totally focused upon mind/body/spirit health and wellness. I focus on nutriton as the foundation and genetically type clients so that they eat the foods that truly support them. I evaluate the heavy metal and mineral balance, look at their blood test from a nutritional perspective and do saliva hormone tests to balance hormones. I use EDS to evaluate organ system meridians and for screening supplements, working with food sensitivities and allergies, smoking cessation, alcohol minimization and general balancing - great fun. I give clients tests to evaluate their metabolic system and neurological system. When it is all put together I have a great picture of what my clients truly need. Sometimes we simply focus on weight loss, or hormones, yet in most cases some form of detoxification is critical. Like it or not we live in a toxic work, physically and emotionally and these toxins are stored in our body causing all sorts of grief.
95% of my clients are women. They love coming in and we actually have fun talking, evaluating and designing a program just for them. So what ever your focus, you can find the answer at the Natural Health Centre - come on in.
