Laura Kendall is the author of 11 books, certified professional publishing coach and founder of Experts Writing Academy. Experts Writing Academy is where experts (coaches, trainers, spiritual leaders, empowerment specialists, over-comers) who want to share their message/story with the world come to learn how write and publish their books. Her passion is working with entrepreneurial experts who know their life’s purpose is making a difference in the world by helping other people. By writing and publishing a book their messages can reach the world and make a true difference in the lives of others.
Laura’s journey to authorship and coaching professional started one day in 2011 when she was dispatched as a paramedic to pronounce a victim of a suicide dead. Laura has worked as a paramedic for over 28 years, but her experience did not prepare her for what she would face that day for the victim was a friend and fellow paramedic. A month later on another call she was badly assaulted by a patient. He was arrested and charged with 3rd degree aggravated assault against an first responder and she went to the hospital for a CT Scan.
It wasn’t the physical injury though that brought her metaphorically to her knees, but the psychological trauma of not only witnessing her friend’s death, being assaulted, but also the accumulation of all she’d seen through out her many years of emergency responder job. Diagnosed with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder) she spiraled down in depression, fear and loss of hope, until one day in the mail a small post card arrived. The post card was from Tony Robbins announcing his live event Unleash The Power Within was coming to NJ. Totally out of her comfort zone Laura decided to go, unable as she says to “face one more minute of one more second of this life I am living.” She arrived to find herself in an immersion event for 4 days (which included walking on fire barefooted to face her fear and change her mindset about what she could accomplish) surrounded by over 4,000 positive, energetic, open and supportive new friends.
While there she was introduced to one of Tony’s coaches, Michael Morningstar, who helped guide her through an episode of PTSD. Michael as it turns out was well versed in PTSD and did EFT to help her manage and stay in the event. Needless to say the four day experience was life changing! Since then she has written 11 books, obtained her professional coaching certification, Energy Leadership Index – Master Practitioner and mastered the world of writing and self publishing.
Realizing that in this economy, not everyone can afford one on one coaching services, she created Experts Writing Academy with a lifetime membership. Experts Writing Academy teaches experts how to write a book and publish it as a paperback (CreateSpace) and eBook (Kindle, Kobo, and NookPress) through has video training, pdf guides, PowerPoint’s, group coaching/training, empowerment lessons to combat our inner critics/writers block and more.
Experts Writing Academy is unlike any other training for it teaches experts and over-comers how to take control of their writing/book/publishing career and share their unique message with the world. Laura partners with her clients every step of the way acting as a coach, trainer, championer and accountability partner. Nothing lights her up more than being able to hold a book in her hand created by her client and know that they now can share their message, have full control over the book financially/creatively and have a product to sell at their speaking events, seminars and workshops.
