Live, Live, Live!
I believe that life is here to be lived. It's not about toiling away at the grindstone, it's about enjoying the moment and planning to enjoy the next one too. Risks are inevitable if you hope to make progress. Make the best decision you can make in the moment with the information available to you and then take decisive action. No one ever got anywhere by standing still.
Stillness
Taking time for reflection is important, valuable and necessary for a balanced, productive, happy life. But that reflection can only come to it's fullest fruition when the insights gained are then put into action to create a better today and tomorrow.
On Looking Back
Looking into your past is relevant only so much as it affects your current life. You don't need to take apart your past to deal with today's issues. You only need to understand what is currently getting in the way so that you can chart a course around or through it.
Fun
If you're not having fun, you're not doing it right (or you're not doing the right thing). If I'm going to work this hard at something, then, by God, it's got to be fun too. I'm easily amused and I like it that way. I often do things to amuse myself. Occasionally others enjoy them too.
Productivity
If I can be twice as productive as the next guy, then I only have to work half the time he does. Mmmm. Time off.
