He has designed and instructed performance-based training programs and educational seminars for companies and organizations such as AT&T, Lucent Technologies, Intel, CoreStates and Sovereign Banks, Volvo Cars of North America, Air Products & Chemicals, Inc., The Morning Call Newspaper, JE Morgan Knitting Mills, Inc., and IBM, as well as many community and non-profit groups. He has also been utilized as a speaker, facilitator, workshop conductor, and Quality consultant for many groups and associations. Prior to founding CTS and IA, Joe was the General Manager, Senior Instructor and Corporate Solutions Director for Dale Carnegie Training® of Southeastern PA, with certifications in all nine Dale Carnegie Training® Programs.
As the former Senior Instructor and Corporate Solutions Director for Dale Carnegie Training®, my job was to teach and coach other Carnegie instructors on the use of highly-interactive training techniques and processes to ensure the transference of the training material into practical, usable skills. My training style is based on the adult learning philosophy of "discovery." Each participant must discover for themselves the relevance and usefulness of the training material covered. The ‘light-bulb' goes on in an individual's mind as the instructor leads the class through a carefully planned and executed set of interactive and participative training processes. Presenting the material, and then asking probing and thought-provoking questions to stimulate thinking, more questions and possibly objections is one of the only ways to create an environment for the class member to experience the "a-ha" phenomena.
I also use instructor-led and small group leader-led discussion and work groups to facilitate the discovery process. Knowing people learn in a variety of different styles, I utilize auditory, visual, and kinesthetic teaching methods. Humor is also a part of my instructional style. I keep the classroom environment light and free but with a serious approach to the material and its importance to the participants' lives. I have extensive experience with senior leadership as well as top and mid-level management teams.

Almost 10 years of research, writing, testing and designing have finally culminated in a business; a training and coaching system; and a new community of like?minded people who are the genesis of a movement of intentional living that I hope someday sweeps the world.
Why is this so important and so important to me in particular? Here are some statistics to consider:
Having surveyed more than 100,000 Americans since the beginning of 2008, the Gallup?Healthways Well?Being Index reveals that 49% of Americans are "thriving," 47% are "struggling," and nearly 4% are "suffering."
The Dec. 6?9, 2007 poll finds 53% of Americans saying they generally have enough time to do what they want to do these days, while 47% say they do not.
Most Americans also say they experience stress in their daily life ?? 40% deal with stress frequently and 36% sometimes do.
These statistics and many more about the state of our lives are disturbing to me because they don’t need to be. Living an Intentional life can put you in the “thriving” category. Living an Intentional life means you can have all the time you need to do what you want with your life. Living an intentional life means you have the skills and tools to reduce or even eliminate the negative stress and its effects in your life.
