Owner and manager of Indian Hills Inn, Taos Plaza since 1975, John has learned many things to see and do all over the Taos and North Central part of New Mexico. His front desk team at the hotel are selected, trained, coached, and known for being good visitor "tour guides". We'll gladly answer any questions from folks seeking information about this historical, cultural, outdoors focused, and art area.
Check out the hotel website, it's far more than just a hotel site. You'll find loads of information about the entire area and community. Links to many area attractions. http://www.newmex.com/indianhillsinn
Then check out the Taos About Taos Tourism blog. There you'll be able to check out the most current up to date activities and things to see and do. http://talkabouttaostourism.blogspot.com/ If you prefer Facebook, we invite you to "like" our FB biz page - http://www.facebook.com/pages/Taos-NM/Indian-Hills-Inn-Taos-Plaza/92952104085?ref=sgm Anyone who happens across this bio is invited to friend me on Facebook and 'like" the biz page. Social networking is our primary marketing effort so we're building our connections as fast as we can. On the personal FB page, I'm a bit political - CAUTION, I am THE spin zone! On the biz page, it is 100% Taos and tourism marketing.
The "and more" relates to having many years sports car AX and road racing experience including high performance driving instructor with SouthWest MotorSport race club. SWMS has been hosting road races at Sandia Motor Speedway since about 2000. Usually hold 4 events a year.
Guess I should add that I am also a lifelong Realtor. Licensed first in Alaska when I was a wet behind the ears 19, I've been licensed in NM continuously since about 1969. I'm a member of the Greater Albuquerque Area Realtors. Practice as Slenes Realty Consultants, Inc. and limit activities to personal, family, and close friend business with a little outside consulting. Have had a Century 21 office with agents up to about 15 team members serving Albuquerque.
Guess it would also include over 50 years skiing. Hope to do so for another 50 years+! Came to NM to go to school because of Taos Ski Valley. Stunning that I have operated the hotel in downtown Taos since 1975. Hardly ever ski Taos since my aging cheeks prefer high speed quads (Taos just gained approval from Forest Service fo adding a couple HS Quads in the next few years.
Remember, ATTITUDE determins ALTITUDE!
