Prevention is the key. Unfortunately it is too late for some to consider prevention in the current obesity epidemic. Are we really just going to keep building wider ambulences to accomadate wider humans? As crazy as that sounds, that is exactly what is happening. I am sure I am not the only one that can see the many problems associated with the rising obesity rates. The saddest part of this is that the children seem to have no voice. This generation is the first generation to have a shorter life expectancy than their parents. And I am sure you can imagine the strain this will put on an already marginal healthcare system. The diseases associated obesity, like heart disease & diabetes are costly to treat. If change does not come soon healthcare costs are sure to skyrocket. This will effect everyone.
Must I say, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
