I developed the BiG Eater Diet as a response to my weight fluctuating over a period of years. Whilst working as a Company Director (in a field unrelated to fitness) I developed a diet and exercise programme that met the need to satisfy my appetite whilst managing the calorie content to sustain a healthy weight and fitness level.
I had tried various diets from the high fibre diet to crash diets that stated you could lose weight in a week. I found that none of these diets worked and 7 years ago began to develop a diet that would work for me. The Big Eater Diet was the result of this development. It specifically meets the objectives that I set for it:
To provide the nutrition and calorie content to promote healthy weight loss.
To provide meals that satisfied my appetite.
To provide great tasting food I enjoyed.
The meals are nutritionally balanced to ensure each recipe will provide the combination of protein, carbohydrates, fat (this is a low fat diet), vitamins and minerals to ensure the diet is safe, healthy and effective. I researched diet and nutrition to ensure that each recipe will provide
the dietary requirements to promote health whilst you lose weight. Essential amino acids and essential fats such as Omega 3 and Omega 6 are only provided through your diet they cannot be made by the body. The recipes are designed to include essential acids and fats through
the combination of ingredients in the recipes.
I did not use diet planners diaries etc. particularly as I found the more you plan and measure the more you think about food making dieting harder. I developed the diet so that each days meal was self contained. I prefer to gauge my weight by whether I feel good and can wear the clothes I want to wear and only weigh myself occasionally. I understand however that everyone has different requirements that work best for them which is why The Big Eater Diet Network is available free so I can provide support online and ensure The diet works for you.
I developed a simple but effective exercise programme - I tried gyms which were good if you wanted to socialise but I found my programme worked best for me. You might find the social environment more effective I am happy to provide more details on request.
