Heather I. Dixon attended Soothing Arts -Healing Therapies School of
Massage in Destin, Florida to become a Professional Licensed Massage
Therapist experienced with providing relief from sore muscles by using
soft-tissue manipulation techniques that are mechanical, physiological,
psychological & reflexive in nature. She’s been using her hands
(including reiki & trigger point work) to help heal herself and others for many years before
building her career.

 

Raised in La Crosse, Wi until 1992 when Heather moved down to Panama City Beach, Florida. Since she was a little girl she wanted to use her hands to heal and knew that she had a "special touch". 2 years after her move she was injured in a car accident (side-swept) that went unreported due to the family name involved in the other vechile. There were no x-rays taken or medical visits until approximately 6 months later when she started to realize that there was more than just a little whiplash. After the prescribed painkillers caused stomache ulcers and an unfortunate chiropractor visit, Heather decided that it was time to research how to help herself. She had purshased some literature and taught some of her friends how to massage her back & neck. Then she purchased some tennis balls for Trigger Point Release self care. That was when she knew that Massage Therapy could really play a very important role in the alternative healthcare field. Since starting that career wasn't convient at the time, she continued to study ways to naturally heal the human body. In 2005, a path opened in her life which took her along the way to the career she always wanted.
